Mrs. Dora Anderson and daughter, Miss Lorene Anderson, left for their home in Council Bluffs, Iowa, after spending two weeks in Utah with friends. They were the guests here the past week of Bishop and Mrs. Lot Robinson and family, Mrs. Robinson Rob-inson and Mrs. Anderson being girlhood girl-hood chums together, and have not Miss Virginia Mercer and Mrs. Haydee Iverson were the hostesses to the Gleaner Girls of the First ward at Miss Mercer's home last Thursday Thurs-day evening. A short program of music and chat were enjoyed while the girls sewed and a dainty lunch completed the entertainment. There were fifteen present, and special' guests were the Y. L. M. I. While here she has been extensively entertained by her friends in Pleasant Grove and American Amer-ican Fork. While they were here they visited CCC Camp F-5, Timpanogos Cave, Mutual Dell, and the scenic loop road in American Fork canyon. They also visited throughout the south end of the county and in Sail. Lake City. Jacob Christensen of Pleasant Grove, who is making his home with his daughter, Mrs. Joshua Robinson of this city, reports that someone entered the cellar of his home in Pleasant Grove one night last week and stole twenty -five quarts of fruit. Mr. Christensen's daughter, j Mrs. Minnie Curtis and family 'are : occupying the home and the theft i was discovered Sunday. Mr. Christensen Chris-tensen was quite distressed over the affair as his daughter and family are having quite a struggle in these times to get along aside from the loss of their winter's fruit. It is, as he says, a puzzle why persons would rob others of limited means of their food and add to their worries. About twenty members of the newly organized Seventies chorus and their wives enjoyed the first social gathering of this group which was a weiner roast and watermelon watermel-on bust in the orchard of the W. W. Warnick farm in Manila. The setting was ideal for such an affair af-fair with grass, trees and plenty of firewood adding to the comfort of the party. Luncheon was served early in1, the afternoon. Miss Chipman and Miss Crookston leave soon to resume their positions in the Los Angeles and Kenilworth Schools. The School Chums Club was entertained en-tertained at the home of Mrs. Jane Welsh last Thursday afternoon. Games, social chat and needlework were enjoyed, prizes in the games being won by Mrs. Mariam Wing and Mrs. Esther Paxman. A delicious de-licious lunch was served late in the afternoon. In compliment to Mr. and Mrs. j Edward Tuttle, who recently moved from this city to Heber, the ladies of the B. B. Ladies club entertained entertain-ed Tuesday evening, at Saratoga. The husbands of the ladies also were guests. A delicious lunch was served at the long tables in the resort cafe, covers bing laid for thirty-six. Dancing followed the luncheon.
