Show Pleasant Grove Locals Mrs. Louise Shoe! Tobler of Bun-kerville, Bun-kerville, Nevada, is visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Shoell. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Olpin of Phco-nix, Phco-nix, Arizona, are visiting with Mr. Olpin's mother, Mrs. Alvira Olpin. Mr. and Mrs. Verl Kirk were Sunday dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Lowder. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Nelson, who have spent the winter in Idaho, where Mr. Nelson has been teaching school, are home for vacation. The baby of Mr. and Mrs. Nello Nielson, who has been ill with a severe cold, is reported to be recovering re-covering nicely. Miss Emma Kirk, who has been employed in Salt Lake City during the past winter, returned home Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Martelle Keetch announce an-nounce the birth of a 11 pound baby ba-by boy, born Thursday, May 31st. Mother and baby are doing nicely. Mrs. Jane Elsemore of Salt Lake City was a week-end visitor at the home of lier parents, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Walker. Mr. and Mrs. Odeal Kirk entertained enter-tained at dinner Sunday in honor of Mrs. Kirk's parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Keetch, and son, Ray. Miss Donna Olpin gave the theological theo-logical lesson at the Manila ward ', Relief Society meeting Tuesday af- ternoon. 1 Josie Fage Vincent returned Monday Mon-day from Kimberly where she went last week for a visit. Her husband is employed there. Miss Margaret Kirk, who was a student of the TJ. S. A. C. at Logan last winter, spent the past WTck-end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Kirk. She went to Salt Lake Monday where she will be employed the coming summer. Mrs. I. V. Sundberg and son, El wood, left Wednesday w"'h Mrs. Sundberg's daughter, Mrs. Owen Cullimore, for New York for a month's visit. Mrs. Cullimore has jbeen here with her parents and other relatives for about a month. The 4-H Calf Club of Manila ward held their opening meeting Monday at the home of Charles Warnick. Officers wrere selected as j follows: George Warnick, president; presi-dent; Wallace Logie, vice president; Ralph Warnick, secretary and treas-er; treas-er; Richard Swenson, reporter; Kieth Warnick and Calvin Swenson, Swen-son, cheer leaders; and Dean At-jwood, At-jwood, outing supervisor. The officers offi-cers outlined the program for the coming year. The Timpanogos stake chorus, ; consisting of forty voices under the direction of Ford M. Poulson, with Mrs. Lavona Jenson, as organist, will attend the M. I. A. conference ' at Salt Lake City, Friday, Saturday Satur-day and Sunday. This Timpanogps ' group of singers will be members 'of the church chorus that will assemble as-semble from four western states , and Canada and give a recital Saturday Sat-urday evening. There will be twelve hundred men and eighteen hundred ladies in this chorus. The musical will be under the direction of Nobel Cain of Chi-' Chi-' cago, who is one of the best musical directors in the world today. o Mr. 'and Mrs. Orin Hold away of Alton, Wyoming, are visiting relatives rela-tives here. Mrs. William Hooley is in the Aird hospital in Provo convalescing from an operation for tumor, i Marion Draper, 62, of Orem, died at his home Tuesday morning at 5:45 a. m. Mr. Draper is well known in this city. Neldan Lim has been appointed contact manager of Utah county for the FERA. His work began June 4th. Mrs. Anthony Whatcott and Mrs. Rella Penny of Milliard County, were guests the past week of their sister, Mrs. V. H. Barney. Mi-, and Mrs. Kieth Wagstaff and baby of Murray, have been guests the past week at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wright. Ruby Williams, Beth Stagg, Afton Nelson and Muriel Hone will spend the week-end with Miss Margaret Stagg at Salt Lake City. Mrs. Eleanor Hayes of Provo, visit-' ed from Wednesday till Sunday of' last week with her daughter, Mrs. H. E. Johnson and family and other relatives here. Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Moore and family of Spanish Fork, were visitors with Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Johnson last week-end. Mrs. Moore and Mrs , Johnson are sisters. Mrs. Kenneth Mower and Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Barney of Carbon county have been guests during the past week of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. V. H. Barney. Mr. and Mrs. George Richards moved to their camp in American Fork canyon Wednesday. They will take care of then- lunch and candy stand at Mutual Dell during the summer. Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Wright and family and Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Hendrickson left Thursday for Chicago. Chi-cago. They will visit the fair. Mr. ' and Mrs. Hendrickson expect to purchase pur-chase a new car and drive it home. j Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Brinley are visiting with Mr. Brinley's mother, Mrs. Ethel Brinley. Eldon has been teaching school in Idaho the past year. Mrs. Martha Johnson and daughter, daugh-ter, Vola, Miss Thelma Walker of this city and Miss Ruth Fage of Salt Lake City, 'left Wednesday morning for California to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Fred Thevenin, and to see the sights of the Pacific Coast state. The retiring officers of the Third ward M. I. A., together with the teachers and bishopric of the ward held a very enjoyable social at the Timpanogos Cave Camp last Saturday Satur-day night. A bonfire program and picnic luncheon was enjoyed. Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Fugal, who have spent the past winter in Nephi where Mr. Fugal was employed in the schools, are home for thier summer vacation. Mr. Fugal was the principal speaker at the M. I. A. conjoint meeting in the Third ward Sunday evening. Mrs. Ethel Drysdale, Mr. and Mrs. Lyean Johnson, Mrs. Eugene Nelson, Miss Eva Yancey, Mr. and Mrs. Duanne Harper, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Ray-mond Nelson, Mr. and Mrs. George Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Nelson and family were among the invited guests at the wedding of Elda Nelson and Dale W. Hadfield at the Lehi Third ward L. D. S. chapel last Monday evening. Miss Margaret Stagg, who has been a student at the U. of U. during dur-ing the past year, has accepted a position as playground director in one of the parks in Salt Lake City. Margaret has been studying along this line and will do well in this new work. Among the out of town guests who attended the funeral of Mrs. Maltha Wooley Tuesday afternoon were: Mrs. Lydia B. Lund.
