Bee Hive Girls of the Alpine ward held their Silver Jubilee announcement announce-ment January 23. A program consisting con-sisting of the Birth of Bee Hive and its expansion up to 1940 was given. Bee Hive in its infancy was represented repre-sented by the baby daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Austin, seated in front of a large illuminated bee hive, with two Bee Hive Girls representing the originators of Bee Hive, at each side. Each anniversary year was represented repre-sented and the symbol for that year demonstrated by some Bee hive activity. ac-tivity. The Spirit of the Hive in large print formed the foundation of the stage decorations. A huge illuminated illumi-nated silver bee hive, with streamers stream-ers of tinsel and silver bees extended extend-ed to large numbers of 1940. Smaller Small-er numbers of colored paper at the center represented the years from 1915 to 1940. Looped tinsel formed imitation curtains at each side to 1 complete the picture. Varied colored color-ed spot lights were played upon each scene, lending enchantment and beauty. Following the presentation of the program, dancing was enjoyed while refreshments were being served. serv-ed. In keeping with the twenty-five years of Bee Hive, twenty five persons, per-sons, designated by silver bees, blue violets, brown bee hives and green bees, were received in the banquet hall at one time. The banquet hall was appropriately appropriate-ly decorated with large silver bees and the letters 'Silver Jubilee' hung from strings of tinsel. In the center of the table was a large silver Bee Hive and bees, with silver candle sticks at each side. The candles and fire place furnished light during the evening. The Honey Gatherers displayed some of their handicraft. The dish-towels dish-towels representing the cotton anniversary anni-versary were presented to the Ward Sacrament Service.
