Show Ten Years Ago Now (Taken from files of August 8, 1925) Kenneth J. Myers, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Myers, received his release re-lease from the British Mission in July and after an extended tour of Germany, France, Italy, etc. returned to Liverpool and sailed for America on July 24th. He is expected in town any day now. Ten Years Ago Now The stork made three stops in American Fork during the past week having called on Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ren Roberts and left a baby boy, Tuesday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Abel a fine baby girl arrived, and on Thursday Thurs-day Mr. and Mrs. G. II. Gordon were made happy by the arrival of a baby girl at their home. All concerned are doing nicely. Ten Years Ago Now President and Mrs. S. L. Chipman announce the engagement of their daughter, Leah, to Mr. Rulon C. Van Wagenen of Provo. The marriage mar-riage will take place August 2(ith, they will make their home in Provo after a short trip tlirough the northwest. Ten Years Ago Now Cavemen tied for first place in the Utah Central league by winning the contest at Eureka Sunday and defeating de-feating the Spanish Fork outfit here Wednesday. Holding top pwition, along with Heber, these two teams are now tied for first position each having won six games and lost two. Ten Years Ago Now A rhipment of 100 pheasants were , received yesterday by the American Fork Fish and Game AssrciaM'n and will be liberated in the vicinity of this city. This is the largest number of buds of this kind to be received here and should do much to stock this section if the general public and sportsmen will co-o;erate in protecting pro-tecting them until they get a start. Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Slice were in receipt of word from the Southern states mission Wednesday that their wm, Boyd, had been released from that mission aflr a labor of over I two years. Mr. Stice will visit in New York, Washington, etc., enroute home, being due to arrive here the forepart of September. |
