Show Former P. G. Man To Wed Provo Girl G. ELroy Nelson, son of Mrs. Adeline Nelson of this city, who has resided in New York since 1929, will wed Miss Alice Louise Taylor of Provo on August Hth, in the Salt Like temple- Elroy is a well known and highly respected young man. He filled a mission to the Hawaiian Islands, from 1923 to 1926- He graduated from the B. Y. U. in 1929- Since 1929 he has been in New York working work-ing and attending the New York University where he has received his Masters Degree. In October,. 1935, he will be awarded his Doctor's Doc-tor's degree. He has accepted a position in the business department of the Russell Sage College at Troy, New York-After York-After his marriage land a short I honeymoon trip to the Grand can-vnn. can-vnn. the vounsr couple will leav fox their home in Troy, New York. The following clipping was taken from the Salt Lake Tribune: Mrs. Arthur N- Taylor tendered a tea at her home Saturday afternoon, announcing the engagement of her daughter, Alice Louise, to G. Elroy Nelson, son of Mrs- Adeline Nelson of Pleasant Grove- The 300 guests were presented with .tiny announcement announce-ment cards in the form of an old-fashioned old-fashioned locket and chain, inside of which were silhouettes of the bride and bridegroom-to-be, and the wedding date, August 14. The guests were received at the door by Mrs. Arthur D. Taylor, and the receiving re-ceiving line comprised' Mrs. A. N-Taylor, N-Taylor, Miss Alice Taylor, Mrs. Adeline Ad-eline Nelson, Mrs- Leone Told of Pleasant Grove, sister of Mrs. Nelson; Nel-son; Mrs. Janet Munk of Logan and Miss Ruth Taylor. During) tihe afternoon music Was furnished by a string trio, compo-ising Miss Lota Paxman, Miss Rowena Christensen and Miss Francell Christensen- Vocal Vo-cal selections were by Mrs. Lynn Taylor, Mrs. Harold Brown of New York and Mrs. Melba Condie Osmond Os-mond of Wlashington, D- C. Mrs, Henry Taylor was in charge of Ore dining room. The tea table was covered with an ivory lace cloth and centered with a crystal bowl of roses and delphinium- Miss Hcr- mese Peterson, Miss Anna Ollorton, Mrs. W. A- Hall and Miss. Genevieve Boshard poured, and the following women served: Mrs. Victor Ash-worth, Ash-worth, Mi's. Curtis Harding, Mrs. Mel Griffith of Tooele and Mrs. Elton El-ton L. Taylor of Price. |
