Show Second Ward ! Goes To Dell Next Week All members of the Second ward going to the Dell will assemble at the ward house by 8 a. m. Monday, where I trucks will be ready to take them to the canyon. At 10 p. m. there will be a round table discussion of rules of behavior expected to be adhered to while in the canyon. Dinner will be served at 12 noon with a rest period per-iod until 2 when a nature hike will be conducted by Lyean Johnson, At 4 p. m. there will be a ball game, you can't afford to miss. One of the numbers on the program, which will start at 7:30, will be a play, "The Do-Funny Family". The characters char-acters are Rose Adamsan, Helen Hicks, Irene Johnson, Irene Binns and Lucille Bird. Tuesday everyone will be up and ready for a rousing good time with the flag raising ceremonies to start the day right. Garth Myers will be bugler for the trip. During the morning short hikes will be made and right after lunch at noon, the Timp hike will be made. The evening eve-ning program commencing at 7:30 wUl be Talent Night and a snappy program of ward talent has been prepared. A dance will follow the program. Wednesday will be Ward Day and all ward members are invited to attend at-tend and join in a day full of fun for all. During the morning hours games for all will be conducted by Mrs. Alton Storrs. After dinner and a rest period a treasure hunt, volleyball volley-ball and baseball will be featured with races and games from 4 to 6 p. m. The evening program will start at 7:30 with a play "Fatal Necklace", directed by Lena Pierson. The vil-lian vil-lian will be played by LeRoy Gard-j ner: hero. Reed Parker: villianess Edith Clarke; dountess, Catherine Christensen; heroine, Helois Pax-man. Pax-man. Musical numbers will be under the direction of Naomi Halliday. At the bonefire there will be given an Indian story, singing and taps with an echo. Thursday morning after breakfast everything will be packed ready to return to town. |
