Show Utah-Juab Firemen Convention Sunday A convention of the Utah-Juab firemen association was held in the City park Sunday afternoon beginning begin-ning at 2 o'clock p. m. President P. N. Anderson of Mammoth was in charge. Reports of various committees commit-tees were rendered. Chief Josiah Kemp of the Pleasant Grove department, depart-ment, read a paper on proper hose couplings and nozzels. After the business meeting the following program was rendered by local talent: Baritone solo, "Tramp, Tramp, Tramp", Richard Peterson, accompanied by Elda Neves; boys male quartet, "Pals"; reading, "The Wedding",. Geraldine Macfarlane; xylophone duets, Ann and Jean Fugal; trumpet soio, -jviemuiic&, Nellie Blackwell; male quartet, "Woo", and trombone solo, E. A. Beck. At the close of the program a heavy shower drove the group of about one hundred firemen and guests into the seminary building where a dutch lunch was enjoyed. The Pleasant Grove firemen and ladies were hosts and hostesses of the occasion. |
