The prize float in this section was entered en-tered by S. F. Grant, featuring "Gandi's Sheet House" and modern conveniences. At the evening review of the parade par-ade the Provo American Legion Post 13 Drum and Bugle Corps led the line of march and later gave an exhibition at the City ball park. The American Fork band were at their best and that means they couldn't be excelled in either form, looks or ability to play good music-Other music-Other bands entered were Lehi, Pleasant Grove and Lincoln high schools. Soon after the parade 'the croivd gathered at the city park where free chicken sandwiches were given to more than 5,000 people. This save the people first knowledge of just how delicious this meat can be served. There was also an inspection inspec-tion trip to various chicken and turkey tur-key ranches at which some very outstanding out-standing things were noted. The exhibit in the old Coop building ot poultry and eggs, modern equipment, equip-ment, data on production, record performers and many other things lertaining to this growing industry, was open all day for those interested to get -some first hand information. A baseball game between American Amer-ican Fork and Lehi caused much interest at tha ball park. Lehi walked of with the honors after playing a .two extra inning tie. The final score was 5 to 2- The parachute para-chute jump was very spectacular, even though a gust tof wind carried car-ried the jumper about two blocks to the north of the landing field. The evening entertainment at the ball park found the bleachers packed and many standing. Fred Graham of the Graham Lyseum Bureau of Salt Lake City, was master of ceremonies cere-monies and introduced each number num-ber on this two hour program. A variety entertainment including dancing from the LaMarr School of Dancing in Provo; a trained dog act and Diana Lee, radio and stag"e artist; a group of Hawaiians in native na-tive songs and dances, depicting the spirit of the Islands. The spectacular display of fireworks fire-works under the direction of the Fire department received the praise of thousands. The display included six set pieces and a beautiful aerial performance. The day was brought to a close with a grand ball at the Geneva resort. n i ii ,!
