Gledhill Harold "Hal" Mae-se- r Mitchell Jr., 34, of Tucson, Ariz., former resident of Provo, died Jan. 30 in Tucson. He was born Dec. 13, 1954, in Provo to Ha-rold M. and Viola Larae Curtis Mitchell. He married Kitt Clawson. They were later di-vorced. He married Grace Shelly Piatt June 6, 1980 in Pleas-ant Grove. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-da- y Saints. He lived in Provo and attended schools there. He later attended Utah Techni-cal College. He had been a heavy equip-ment operator for Dunn Construction Co. He was presently working for Nelsen Pipeline of Tucson. Heissurvivedbyhis wife; two daughters and one son, Amy Ni cole Mitchell, Rachael LaRae Mitchell, Mat-thew James Mitchell; his father, Provo; three brothers, Steve Mitch-ell, Tuscon, Ariz.; Scott Mitchell, Springville; Paul Mitchell, Mesa, Ariz. Funeral was Mon-day, at Olpin Family Mortuary, Pleasant Grove. Burial was in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. I Keith S. Durrant Wanda Ann Ewell Gledhill, 46, Orem, died Feb. 2, 1989 in Salt Lake City from burns received in a fire ac-cident. She was born Oct. 25, 1942 in Bluffdale to Ellsworth Rulon and Martha Ann Ewell. She married Sherrell C. Gledhill Aug. 22, 1956. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They were later divorced. She did janitorial work at the Utah State Training School. She enjoyed crochet, handwork and family Cheryl Gledhill, both ol American Fork; Sherry Lynn Gledhill Willett, Lehi; three grand-children; brothers and sisters: Walter Allen Ewell, Lindon; Jack Ewell, American Fork; Rulon Ewell, Vernal; Howard Ewell, Payson; Mrs. Ralph (Rhea) Elkins. Provo; and Elnora Ewell, Pleasant Grove. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 7, in the Sharon Park 4th Ward. Burial was in the Bluffdale City Cemetery, Wing Mortuary, funeral directors. gatherings. She was a member of the LDS Church. I ? : 1 1 - N Keith Sterling Durrant, 61, died Feb. 4, 1989 in American Fork. He was born Nov. 21, 1927 in American Fork, the son of Sterling and Emma Pearl Gray Durrant. He married Ruth Hilda Hemstock. They were later divorced. He married Mary Alice Cheney May 10, 1952 in Elko, Nev. The marriage was later solemnized in the Provo LDS Temple. He was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of the 24th LDS Ward. Richards, a native of Pleasant Grove and resident of American Fork, is the principal of Skyline High School in Salt Lake City. He was recently recognized by his fel low administrators as the Granite School District Administrator of the Year. A noted speaker, Richards served almost 10 years as presi-dent of the American Fork North Stake. He earned a bachelor's and master's degree from BYU and plans to receive his doctor's degree in August. They will have a Communion Service and Distribution of Ashes at 12:15 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. This will mark the beginning of the lenten season. Lent is a special time for Catholics. They are urged to spend the next 40 days in prayer, fasting and almsgiving. During lent St. Peter's will have a Communion Service each Wednesday afternoon at 12:15 p.m. Friday evenings they will have a Communion Service and Stations of the Cross. Single Adults plan Valentine dance decorations, refreshments, mingling and friendships. A Valentine's dance for single adults will be held Saturday, Feb. 11, at the Apollo Hall, 50 N. Church Street, American Fork, with dance instruction from 8 to 9 p.m. and dancing from 9 to midnight. It is being sponsored by the Utah Valley Single Adults.
