Stewart and Susan Ehvell to celebrate Golden Anniversary It- - : n rnr r " ' The children of Stewart and Susan Klwell will honor their parents at a dinnerdance in celebration of their golden wedding anniversary on Feb. 10 at the Lions Club Hall in Pleasant Grove. Mr. Elwell was born and raised in Bemus Point, New York. Mrs. Klwell was born in Oil City, Penn. They were married on Feb. 10, 19119 in Oil City, Penn. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple April 11, 1958. Their children are Jack Elwell, American Fork; Janice Groo, Lindon; Jill Thompson, Levan; and Joyce Dunn, McCammon, Idaho. They have 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Religion lecture planned Saturday James Killian, an instructor at the Orem Institute of Religion, will be the speaker at the Know Your Religion series lecture to be held Saturday, Feb. 11, from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Pleasant Grove East Stake Center, 825 S. Loader. His subject will be "The Last Days Signs of the Times." This will be a discussion of major events that must take place before the Second Coming of Christ, the events during His coming and the conditions on the earth during His millennial reign. The cost of the lecture is $2. For further information call Clyde Fames at 785-575- Provo Temple ceremony to unite Norma Jean Nerdin, Dirk Morris i Norma Jean Nerdin, daughter of Paul W. and LaVerne A. Nerdin, American Fork, will marry Dirk Courtney Morris, son of Maj. Kenneth S. and Karlie S. Morris, Mesa, Ariz, on Feb. 10 in the Provo LDS Temple. The ceremony will be performed by Dr. Homer F. Royle. A reception will honor the couple that evening from 7 to 9 at the Bungalow in Pleasant Grove. Bridal attendants are Shantelle Harding, Rhonda Nerdin, Dana Nerdin and Karlene Ator. Best man will be Andrew McLaws, with Dana Morris, Brad Nielson, Scott Jacobsen and Brent Ator attending. The bride-elec- t attended American Fork High School. She graduated from Morris Travel School. Her fiance graduated from Mesa High School. He served an LDS mission in the Cantania, Italy Mission. He also served in the U.S. Air Force. He is currently working Norma Jean Nerdin Dirk Courtney Morris on a nursing degree. The couple will live in American Fork. Lindon student named to C.E.U. Dean's List One resident of Lindon was among the 218 students named on the College of Eastern Utah's fall quarter Dean's List according to Jan Young, director of admissions and records. Young explained that a student must carry at least 12 credit hours and achieve a grade.point average of at least 3.5 to be named on the Dean's List. Students who end the quarter with a GPA of 3.76 or higher earn high honors status. The student is Susan Nielson with a 3.795 GPA. |
