Show Jr. Jazz continues Every year, the seventh and eighth grade Jr. Jazz boy's league provides the community with some excellent Saturday excitement with their games at the P.G. Community Com-munity Center. This year has seen some really close games, with wins coming in the last few seconds of the games. In the first game of the day last Saturday, the Jazz beat the Bulls in a nip-and-tuck game that went to the last few minutes, 37-34. The Pacers ran over the 76'ers, 64-12. Top point man for th e Pacers was Scott Giles with 20. The Rockets ran past the Pistons, Pis-tons, 51-35. A real squeaker, with strong defense from both teams, came right down to the last 20 seconds in the game between the Bucks and the Suns, with the Bucks winning, 32-30. Between the Cougars and the Lakers, the Lakers came out victorious, victo-rious, 43-24. The Celtics beat the Spirits in another close game, 41-38. |
