She is currently serving as a Pink Lady Volunteer at American Fork Hospital. They are the parents of three children: Don C. Overly, Kalispell Montana; Susan Van Orden', Pocatello, Idaho; and Kent C. Overly, Murray. They have 10 grandchildren and one great grandchild. The event is open to all friends and relatives. They request no gifts. Don C. and Thelma Overly Annual Mercur reunion planned Sunday at Fairfield State park The annual reunion of the Mer-cur Pioneer Society will be held Sunday, Aug. 14, at Fairfield State Park starting at 1 p.m. Please bring a lunch and drink. Also, please bring white elephants and handmade articles for an auc-tion. There will also be games, vis-iting with friends and a good time is in store for all who attend. This reunion will provide an opportunity for all interested folks to reminisce about Mercur when it was a thriving, prosperous town and it's demise after the second disastrous fire. Please call D.L. Cook, Lindon, has recently returned from serving in the Pennsylvania, Philadelphia LDS Mission. He will speak in a sacrament service Sunday, Aug. 14, at 10:40 a.m. in the Lindon 1st Ward Chapel, 25 N. Main. All friends and relatives are in-vited to attend. Elder Cook served successfully in several areas of the mission and held leadership responsibilities as a senior companion, a trainer of new missionaries, a district and zone leader. He plans to continue his education at Ricks College. Prior to that time, he and operated Richard J. i ftr Construction Co. He built ' 37 schools and other public buildings in Utah County. He worked for Weyher Construction Company for 10 years. Since his retirement he spends his time building cabinets and fur-niture, fishing and keeping a beautiful yard. Olivene is a devoted wife and mother. She has served in numerous church positions and was active in PTA and civic affairs for many years. She enjoys her work at the Name Extraction Center. They are the parents of three children: Larry, Mesa, Arizona; Michael (Mick) and MarJean Sawyer, both American Fork. They have 16 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She will be honored at a mission-ary farewell on Sunday, Aug. 14, at 2 p.m. in the Pleasant Grove Stake Center, 825 S. Loader Ave. She will enter the Missionary Training Center on Aug. 17. An open house will be held at 830 S. 1260 East, Pleasant Grove, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. All friends and relatives are invited to her farewell and the open house. Sister Barrett has previously served in the Oregon Portland Mission and about 43 years ago she o served in the Southern States Mission, which included what is Marcella Barrett now the Mississippi Jackson Mis-sion.
