Maxi-Mart, Maxi's Diner to open in PG Pleasant Grove's newest convenience con-venience store and restaurant is scheduled to open on Friday, Jane 17. Maxi-Mart and Maxi's Diner, toted at State Road and Center Sheet (formerly the site of West Winds Cafe), will be managed by Alayne Jeffs, daughter of Max Eggertsen, Provo, owner of the kminess. Alayne asked those attending the Strawberry Days Parades on tasday to look for their specials in a flyer which will be distributed tog the parades. Maxi-Mart will feature Texaco gas, oil, sandwiches, delicatessen, irinks, and Maxi's Diner will feature fea-ture a fine menu. The convenience store will be p from 5 a.m. until midnight ffidthe restaurant from 5 a.m. to 3 pjn. ' ' Theowners plan to change those lours in the near future to 24 hours for the convenience store and 5 a.m. until 10 p.m. for the restaurant. There will be 24 gas pumps featuring fea-turing regular, unleaded, supreme unleaded and diesel fuels. The company has a Gascard which is good at all their stations and which is designed for companies compa-nies and offices to use. Max Eggertsen has been in this business for about 24 years and has stores throughout Utah County, including one across from UVCC called Tech-Mart, and Maetex Number 1 on South University Avenue in Provo. Alayne lives in Orem and has had several years experience in retail sales as store manager. She said that from her experience she will stress customer service. If customers have any suggestions they are invited to let her know. Hortt Carter will be in charge of the restaurant. He lives in Provo and used to work at Keith's Lunch there. |
