Steven Baugh, and School Board Members Jan Lewis and David Harvey and a represen-tative of the Taxpayers of Utah and others are expected to be on hand to give information on possible prob-lems if the tax initiatives pass. Elder Kelly Alvord called to Pennsylvania Mission Bolder Kelly D. rtivord, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dean Alvord, has been failed to serve in the Pennsylvania. Philadelphia LDS Mission. He will speak in a sacrament service Sunday, Oct. 9, at 2 p.m. in the Manila 3rd Ward, :S9H(i W. KWK North. An open house will be held the same afternoon at the family home, 9755 North Canyon Drive. Elder Alvord is a graduate of Pleasant Grove High School where he served as vice president of the senior class and Future Business Leaders of America. He was a member of the National Honor Society and was nominated for the U.S. Academic Award and 'Who's Who in American High School Students.' He is also a graduate of LDS Seminary. He enjoys and has participated in all types of sports and especially enjoys hunting and fishing. He has held leadership positions in his priesthood quorums, has achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, and received the 'On My Honor Kelly Alvord Award' and 'Duty to God Award.' Mr. ;ind Mrs. William Hunter William Hunters to report on Florida Mission A missionary homecoming will be held Sunday, Oct. 9, at 9 a.m. in the Pleasant Grove Seventeenth Ward, 825 S. Loader, for Elder and Sister William H. Hunter. The couple has recently re-turned from the Florida Tallahas-see Mission where they served for one year. All friends and family are in-vited to hear their report. The couple said that they were mainly involved in reactivation while on their mission. They espe-cially enjoyed their association with the young elders and sisters serving in the mission. They served in the small com-munities of Crawfordville, Fla., and Moultrie, Ga. WySZ, S0i&M:M&.-- &mJy- Homecoming slated for David Jacklin Elder David L. Jacklin will re-port on his recently completed mission on Sunday, Oct. 9, at 2:45 p.m. in the Lindon Seventh Ward, 700 E. Center Street. He h as returned from serving in the Birmingham, Alabama LDS Mission. David is the son of LeRoy and Amanda Jacklin. An open house will be held at the family home, 495 E. 200 South, Lindon, following the church serv-ices. All friends and relatives of the missionary are invited to hear his report and attend the open house.
