Show Police arrest juveniles for burglaries Pleasant Grove Folice have arrested ar-rested two juveniles for vehicle burglary after they reportedly took $242 worth of tapes from cars. They youths have been referred to Juvenile Court by Officer Randy Shepherd. The arrests were made on Oct. 1. Lynn Thornton, 402 W. Gillman Lane, reported that a cushion had been taken from his motorhome. It was valued at $450. The cushion was later recovered. recov-ered. Further information was unavailable. An adult male has been arrested for leaving the scene of an injury accident and not obtaining a Utah drivers license. According to Officer Shepherd, Casey Lund, 8, was crossing the road at State Road 89 and Main St. in Pleasant Grove, when he was hit by a car which left the scene immediately. imme-diately. The child was taken to American Ameri-can Fork Hospital by Pleasant Grove Ambulance where he was treated for bruises and abrasions and released. Witnesses were able to give police po-lice a description of the car and it, along with the driver, were located at a residence a short time later. The man is being held in Utah County Jail, according to the police report. Car City at 780 N. State in Lindon Lin-don reported that a Volkswagen bus had sustained $200 damage to the sliding door when someone apparently tried to pry the door open. Officer Jeff Wilson is investigating. investigat-ing. WB, 100 E. State St., reported that five of their six windows had been broken out. The damage was estimated at $200. There are no suspects. Officer Jay Thornton reported that cars driven by Arthur Morin, Shelley, Idaho, and Jan Norie, Orem, collided in the intersection at 600 S. Geneva Road in Lindon on Sept. 29 at 11:30 p.m. Morin's wife sustained injuries to the chest and neck and was taken to Utah Valley Hospital by Pleasant Grove Ambulance. There was $2,500 damage to the Norie car and $1,800 to the Morin auto. On Friday, Sgt. Steve Frampton investigated an accident at 500 N. 200 East, Pleasant Grove, in which a car driven by Michael Sumner, Pleasant Grove, reportedly ran into the rear of a car driven by Dan Fackrell, Pleasant Grove. Damage to the Fackrell car was set at $1,200 and there was $2,000 damage to the Sumner vehicle. There were no injuries. |
