She was born June 17, 1964 in American Fork to Forest Larry and Vicki Burr Giles. She married Samuel Lynn Ray April 15, 1983 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was educated in the Payson schools, graduated from Payson High School with honors. She graduated from the Payson Senior High Seminary. She participated in high school gymnastics and played for the Payson High School Band. She attended Utah Technical College in Orem and BYU. She was an active member of the LDS Church, and held various teaching positions. She lived in Germany for three years, where her husband was ser-ving active duty in the Army and then moved to Albuquerque where (hey have lived for the past six months. Survivors include her husband and two children: Luke Joseph Ray and Amelia Monique Ray, all of Albuquerque; her lather and step-mothe- r, Larry and Linda Giles, Payson; her mother, Vicki B. Giles, West Mountain; one sister and one brother: Mrs. Mark (Tonie) Lofgran, Castle Dale; Kipper L. Giles, serving an LDS mission in North Carolina: two slep sisters and one slep brother: Kimberly Rrickson, Healher Krickson and James K r i c k s o n . all of Payson; grandparents: Forest L. and Vivian M. Giles, Lindon: Vonda K. St owe, American Fork; Kenneth E. Burr, Layton. Funeral services will be held Thursday at a.m. in the Payson 9th Ward, 750 E. 500 North. Burial will be in the Payson Cily Cemetery. Ewell Alfard Chadwick Ewell Alfard Chad-wick, 65, of Layton. died Saturday, July 25, 1987 at the Veterans Hospital in Salt Lake City of heart failure. He was born April 8, 1922 in American Fork, a son of Alfred and Alice M. Ewell Chad-wick. He married Leah Ray Crawford Nov. 21, 1950 in Elko, Nev. He was reared and educated in American Fork, graduating from American Fork High School. He was a member of the LDS Church. He was a retired technical sergeant in the Air Force. He traveled extensively, living in New Mexico, Germany, France and Hawaii. He had lived in Layton for the past 20 years. He retired in 1981 from Hill Air Force Base, where he had worked as an aircraft inspector. He was a veteran of World War II, the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Surviving are his widow of Layton; two sons: David F. Chad-wick, Layton; Richard Chadwick, Oak Harbor, Wash.; five grand-children; two brothers and three sisters: Tom Chadwick, Mrs. Daryl (Joyce) Withers, both of American Fork; John Chadwick, Ogden; Mrs. Nephi (Elaine I Campbell, American Fork; Mrs. Don (Phillis) Christen. Pleasant Grove. Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1074 N. Fairfield Road. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Fort Douglas Cemetery, where military honors will be accorded. Camp Floyd plans anniversary July 1987 marks the 30th an-niversary of the Utah Division of Parks and Recreation. Camp FloydStagecoach Inn State Park was one of four original state parks. A celebration com- - meorating 30 years of Camp FloydStagecoach Inn and the Utah State Park system is planned for Saturday, August 1, at 10 a.m. The celebration will be at Camp FloydStagecoach Inn, in Fairfield. Michael L. Strong Michael L. Strong, 46 died July 27, 1987 ir American Fork. He was born April 3. 1941 in American F'ork to Ray E. and Arlene (Billie) Young Strong. He married Joan White. They were later divorced. He was a member of the Eagles Aerie No. 3372 and REAC. He was a graduate of American F'ork High School. He managed a service station in California and Nevada. He is survived by one son, Michael Dean Baker and Mrs. Kathy Kampman, both of Wendover, Nev. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Ken. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 31, at 2 p.m. in the An-derson & Sons Mortuary Chapel, 49 E. 100 North, American Fork, where friends may call Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the American Fork City Cemetery. Strong, Colorado Springs, Colo; mother, American Fork; two sisters: Mrs. Virginia - Max Eldon Harper Max Eldon Harper, 60, of Pleasant Grove, died Wednesday, July 22, 1987 at his home of cancer. He was born March 10, 1927 in Pleasant Grove to Clifton H. and "; Emma Hunger Harper. He married Dora Whiteley Oct. 14, 1947 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was an active member of the LDS Church, holding the office of high priest in the Grove Ward. He had served as ward financial clerk for 29 years. He had been em-ployed at Geneva Steel prior to his retirement. Survivors include his wife of Pleasant Grove; three sons and two daughters: Terry W. Harper, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Steven (Launa) Johnson, Michael W. Harper, Kevin W. Harper, all of Pleasant Grove; Mrs. Richard (Sharon) Byrd, Rock Springs, Wyo.; 12 grandchildren; two sisters and three brothers: Cora An-derson and Mrs. Harold (Rose) Baird, both of Salt Lake City; Gale Harper, Boyd Harper and Darrell Harper, all of Pleasant Grove. Services were held Monday, July 27, at the Grove LDS Ward. Burial was in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. Joshua Baker Joshua Baker, son of Jed Calvin and Sheila Neilson Baker, died Tuesday, July 21, 1987 at Primary Children's Medical Center of heart complications. He was born April 22, 1986 in Anchorage, Alaska. His parents are members of the LDS Church and former residents of Utah County. He is survived by his parents of Anchorage; grandparents: Mr. and Mrs. Rollo Neilson, Pleasant Grove; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Kendall Baker, Orem. Graveside services were held Thursday; July 22, at the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. Shute Card of Thanks We wish to thank our many friends, neigh-bors and relatives for their thoughtful ex-pressions of sympathy and compassion shown toward us in the recent illness and death of our beloved wife, daughter and sister, Lori Van Wagoner Shute. He was born March 26, 1906, in Murray, Utah, to Edward Lee and Eliza May Holden Harr. He married Eleanor Edith Robinson i! June 30, 1933 in the Salt h Lake LDS Temple. j He was owner and operator of Bud's I Automotive in Murray for over 30 years. He was a member of the LDS Church and a charter member of the FOE Murray Lodge 1760. He is survived by his wife of Sandy; three sons, Hurley "Bud", Sandy, John P., American Fork; David W. Kremmling, Colo.: 12 grandchildren; 15 n ; one sister, Mrs. Josie Houmand , Salt Lake City. He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters. Funeral services Wed 1 p.m. at Jenkins-Soff- e Mortuary, 4760 South State, Murray, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Murray City Cemetery.
