More than 170 runners competed for trophies and medals in this year's Electrocardiorun, according to race directors. Cold wind and dark clouds didn't dampen the enthusiasm of runners who took the 5.5 mile course during the morning event. Terry Thomas, with a time of 28:41, took top honors in the American Fork Hospital sponsored ElectroCardiorun held July 18 as part of the city's Steel Day ac-tivities. Kristie Brown took overall honors in the women's category with a time of 34:35. Phil Olsen was second in the overall and Rick Scholes, third. In the women overall, Shana Price was second and Anita Rawlinson, third. Coach Mikelson encourages football players Coach Bill Mikelson has issued an invitation to all high school age football players to meet him each Monday night through Thursday at the high school for preseason conditioning. Mikeson wants the sophomores, juniors and seniors to come out and learn the new system in preparation for the coming season. "Those still playing baseball are encouraged to come when they can," said Mikeson. "We really need the quar-terbacks, centers, receivers and running backs," he added.
