These permits will be issued from the District Office, 125 N. 100 East, Heber City, on a first-com- e, first-serv- e basis, at a cost of $3 each, with a limit of one permit per family. Two areas, Bench Creek and Noblett's, will be open for cutting Nov. 24 through Dec. 14. These areas are located approximately 10 miles east of Woodland. Trees available are alpine fir only. "Tree cutters need to know that trees are scattered and accessibility is difficult," said Daniels. Snowmobiles, cross-countr- y skis or snowshoes are recommended due to distance from the parking areas. Ranger Daniels advises using chains or four-whe- drive when traveling to the cutting areas. 'Share with the Hungry' Grocery stores and food bank organizations throughout Utah will join forces in the "Share with the Hungry" program on Nov.22. The program is sponsored by the Utah Retail Grocers Association (URGA). This will be the fourth year for the program and the second year it has been held statewide. On Saturday, Nov. 22, carts or boxes designated with a "Share with the Hungry" sign will be placed near store exits. Customers will be encouraged to donate food items by placing them in the designated container. All food which is collected will be contri buted to local food banks who will then distribute it to those who are in need of food assistance. Cash donations will also be collected in many stores, including convenience stores. A cash collect-ion kit will be placed at the checkstand for customers who wish to donate cash rather than food. The "Share with the Hungry" effort will be held on the same day as the national "Care and Share" day and the "Give a Helping Hand" program sponsored by the Univer-sity of Utah and Brigham Young University in conjunction with their football game. These include stuffed animals, handmade wooden items including a detailed wooden train, and a variety of wall and table decorations as well as toys for the youngsters. Ms. Revelli says she offers free gift wrapping. In addition, takes orders on tole painting, ceramic, flower arrangements or other items for individuals who want something handmade - but don't want to do it themselves.
