Show Farm Bureau to hold convention Utah Senator Orrin Hatch, American Fork Bureau President Dean Kleckner and noted cowboy philosopher and sage Dr. Baxter Black lead the list of special guests slated to speak at the 69th annual meeting of the Utah Farm Bureau Federation. Convention activities are slated to begin November 19 at the Salt Lake City Marriott Hotel, and will run through November 21. President Kleckner and Dr. Black will address the convention's first general session on Thursday, Nov. 20, according to Frank O. Nishiguchi, Riverside, president of the Utah Farm Bureau Federation. Joining them on the afternoon's agenda will be Governor Norman H. Bangerter, who will address education reform, and UFB Executive Vice President C. Booth Wallentine, who will make his annual report to the membership. On Friday, November 21, Senator Hatch will be the featured speaker of the convention's 2nd general session. He will be joined on the program by Constance Brooks of the Mountain States Legal Foundation, Foun-dation, who will address the topic, "Wilderness and Your Water Rights," and the annual report to the membership by President Nishiguchi. |
