Show Michael Cooper Welby L. Clements obituaries J Perry D. Goodliffe Michael Paul Cooper, 18, of Highland, died Friday, May 30, 1986 at Lindon Harbor, Utah Lake in a water-related accident. He was born Nov. 29, 1967 in Torrence, Calif, to Terry L. and Linda Leftwich Cooper. He received his elementary education at Garfield Elementary and at Stephens Jr. High in Longbeach, Calif. He moved with his family to Utah in September of 1983. He would have graduated from American Fork High School the day of his death. He had enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp and was parents, Mr: and Mrs. Paul Cooper, Longbeach, Calif.; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Williams, Fall City, Wash.; Mr. and mrs. Jack Leftwich, Provo and Mrs. Jeanine Leftwich, Orem; great-grandparents, great-grandparents, Mrs. Fern Minard, Sioux City, Iowa and Mr. Clifford Cooper, Albuquerque, N.M. Services' will be Wednesday, 2 p.m. at the Highland 3rd Ward, 11145 N. 5100 West, Highland. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Alpine City Cemetery. Welby LaRay Clements, 75, died Thursday, May 29, 1986 at his home in Lehi, 'following a lingering Illness. He was born March 25, 1911 in American Fork, the son of Edward Ed-ward Amos and Rosebell Erickson Clements. He married Grace Geniel Nielson July 26, 1930 in Manti. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt? Lake LDS Temple. ' He was an insurance u salesman and held! 'many church positions.! Rodger Clements and Mrs. Merlin (Vickie) Hatton, both of Lehi; Jackie Leo, Provo; Mrs. J.R. Perry D. Goodliffe died Thursday, May 29, 1986 at American Fork. He was born Jan. 10, 1913 at Park Valley, Box Elder County, to Charles W. and Ann Eliza Carter Goodliffe. He married Helen Patterson June 24, 1935 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was valedictorian at Box Elder High School and attended Weber State College. He retired in 1973 from J.C. Penney Company after 42-years work in Brigham City, Cedar City, Salt Lake City and American Fork. He was manager in Springville and American Fork. He was a former president of the Kiwanis Club, American Fork Chamber of Commerce and the American Fork Rotary Club. He was bishop of the Fork 18th Ward. He was involved in music circles, including spending 24 years as director of ward and stake choirs. Survivors include his wife, American Fork; two sons and one daughter: Glade P. Goodliffe, Salt Lake City; Kent P. Goodliffe, Provo; and Mrs. Gilbert (Angelynn) Anderson, American Fork; 10 grandchildren; grand-children; two brothers and four sisters: Marie Metcalf, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Louis (Elizabeth) Hirschi, Mrs. Floyd (Dorothy) Jensen and J. Leon Goodliffe, all Brigham City; Ruth Hirschi, Perry; and Charles LaFount. Goodliffe, Tremonton. Services were held Monday, June 2, in the American Fork 18th Ward. Burial was in the American Fork City Cemetery. LDS Imperial Ward while in Salt Lake City and was a member of the Kolob Stake presidency while in Springville. He was a stake mission president, stake clerk, high council member and executive secretary to a regional representative while in American Fork. He was a worker at the Provo LDS Temple for eight years. Most recently, he was High Priest group leader of the American Ross JT. Watkins f I I J - J 41 V i . . .J Ross Joseph Watkins, 69, of American Fork, died Sunday, June 1, 1986, at his home following an illness. He was born March 26, 1917 in Lehi, to Joseph William and Ethel Ette Ross Watkins. He married Verda Mae Kerschner AprQ 3, 1946 in Ely, Nev. They were later divorced. He was a retired fireman from Deseret Proving Grounds in 1972 and was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of the LDS Church. Charles R. Watkins, American Fork; Shirley ' Jean Hampton, Salt Lake City; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Elwood (Elsie) Monson, Pleasant Grove; Mrs. Elvin (Verla) Hancock, Provo. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 6, at 11 a.m. in the Wing Mortuary Chapel, Lehi, where friends may call i Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday prior to services. Interment In-terment will be in the Lehi City Cemetery. He is survived by two sons and one daughter: Joe Lynn Watkins, serving in the U.S. Air Force in Germany; Turner Gard of Thanks We would like to thank everyone for their kindness and concern at the passing of our loved one.
