" & ' " ' ' f t w i 1 v ! i' " IA 7a , Vikings of the Month at Pleasant Grove High School are, L-R, Reba Stirling, Jason I Carpenter, Stephanie Evans, Bill Holman, Angie Anderson and Jason Shelton. I Pleasant Grove High School Vikings of the Month are seniors, Reba Stirling and Jason Carpenter; juniors, Angie Anderson and Jason Shelton; and sophomores, Stephanie Evans and Bill Holman. Reba Stirling Reba was born in Oakland, Calif., number five of nine children born to Mr. and Mrs. Keith Stirling. She is a good student, maintaining an overall average of 3.6 and this year she has a 3.9 CPA. She has been a member of Cloggers West and the A Cappella Choir for two years. She went with the cloggers on their trip to France last July and loved the experience. She enjoys backpacking, reading, learning new things, singing, people .and peanut butter. Reba is president of her Laurel class. She plans to attend Ricks College next year and hopes to continue clogging there. Jason Carpenter Jason is the son of Howard and Dixie Carpenter. He serves as president of his seminary class and plays first chair flute in the school band. He is active in church work, serving as first assistant to the bishop in the Priests Quorum. He has participated in the Utah Pageant of the Arts and last year he appeared in "The Storm". Jason is an avid skier and an expert swimmer and diver. He likes to backpack, create and design games, make Halloween costumes, and enjoys his cat, Jackson Fremont. After graduation he plans to serve an LDS mission and then join the Air Force. Angie Anderson Angie is the daughter of Edward and Janell Anderson. She has a 3.8 GPA and plans to attend college after graduation from high school. She likes sports and has played on the high school volleyball team for two years. Last year she played junior varsity basketball. She attended the Close-Up program sponsored by the high school history department in Washington, D.C. earlier this year. She is secretary of her Laurel class. She works at the Subway Sandwich Sand-wich Shop in Orem and also enjoys reading, sewing, tole painting, skiing and collecting handmade dolls. She draws well and does ceramics. Jason Shelton Jason is the son of Burton and i I and computers in college and to serve an LDS mission. He is an honor student with a 4.0 GPA. Basketball and computers are his first loves. He spends lots of time on his computer at home and is a member of the sophomore basketball team which is undefeated this year. The unique thing about Bill, according ac-cording to his mother, is that he is always a little taller in the mornings than he was when he went to bed the previous evening. He is now 6'4". Nina Shelton. He is vice-president of FBLA and is in the intermediate clogging group. He is a member of the National Honor Society and carries a 3.85 GPA. He is in the presidency of his Priests Quorum and plans on serving ser-ving an LDS mission. He is employed em-ployed by Alpine School District in the Accounts Payable office. He is considering majoring in communications in college and possibly pursuing a career in law. Stephanie Evans Stephanie is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Brian Evans. She enjoys people and making friends, which is a good thing since she has lived in a number of different places. She likes singing, sports, dancing, being with friends, and is president of her Mia Maid class. She is a member of FFA and won second place in her first livestock judging contest last summer. She is also a member of DECA. She enjoys all her classes, especially chorus, and is an honor student. Bill Holman Bill is the son of Willard J. and. Melba Holman. He is an Eagle Scout. He plans to study electronics |
