Show Lady Vikes outscore Timpview five '".: ,,:-W;" a J Balanced scoring and a tough defense boosted the Lady Vikings to a 63-55 win over Timpview last week. Timpview came into the game having just beaten Provo, the number one rated team in the state. In the Provo game, Terri Raisor had scored a remarkable 40 points. Coach Marie Bone, debated using a "trick defense", like a box-and-one on Raisor, but decided to go with a straight 2-3 zone. The hustling Lady Viking defense held Raisor to seven points to produce the win. On the offensive end, Erin Measom had another terrific game. Her inside play produced 17 points, a bundle of rebounds, several blocked shots and she never seemed to stop for a breather. Debbie Fisher and Cherylnn Johnson scored 16 points each to give the Vikes a balanced scoring punch. Jayleen Walker had 8, Lila Fugal 4 and Michelle Johnson 2 for PG. Timpviews Nancy Utley was high scorer with 22. The tall Thunderbird did most of her scoring from point blank range. PG had 24 field goals and hit 15 of 23 from the line. Timpview scored 23 field goals and made 9 of 19 from the free throw line. r r U O : M In i f ? if i .
