Show ftoundy retires from teaching , k Roundy, who is retiring M fourth grade at Forbes bm Jtarv School, will be honored E'eme"en house at the school on the ST May 29 from 6 until 8 Kn friends, former students and jiiS are invited to attend. .,r Roundy was born in Iriake Arizona on May 13, the SDTson and seventh child of , r Lorenzo and Elizabeth Frost I I L He received his early Eat on in American Fork, and nt Grove, graduating from S t Grove High School. He spent three years in the Navy Air Corp during World War II as a radioman-gunner on a dive bomber. He was decorated twice having received the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Air Medal. After military service he returned home to attend BYU where he met his present wife, Gwen Jacob. They graduated together in 1950. They are the parents of four children -two girls and two boys - and five grandchildren. Paul returned to BYU to receive his teaching certificate cer-tificate in 1958. His teaching career began at Bonneview Elementary in Murray where he taught sixth grade for one year. He later transferred to Pleasant Grove Junior High where he again taught sixth grade for ten years. Since that time he has taught at Grovecrest Elementary for 12 years and Forbes Elementary for the past three. Paul plans to spend his time pursuing some special interests. He is an avid horseback rider and plans to not only ride but make saddles for himself and others. His hobby of taxidermy will also receive some of his time. Paul Roundy |
