Temple T--i Ml Sherrie Keetch, daughter of Vance and Carolyn Keetch, Lindon, will marry Marty Smith, son of Raymond and Marcia Ann Smith, Lehi, Oct. 11 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. A reception will honor the couple that evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Lindon 6th Ward Chapel, 25 North Main, Lindon. The event is open to all friends and relatives. Maid of honor will be Suzanne Keetch, with Debbie Jacobsen, Kellie Ottosen, Robyn Norris and Sharlyn Smith as bridal attendants. Best men will be Brent Maag, Clay Sorenson and Mike Houghton, with Kenny Norris as attendant. The bride-ele- ct graduated from Pleasant Grove High and LDS Seminary, where she was active in cheerleading. She attended Utah Technical College where she was also a cheerleader. She was Miss Pleasant Grove for 1983-8- 4 and participated in the 1984 Miss Utah Scholarship Pageant. She is currently employed as a secretary in American Fork. Her fiance graduated from Lehi High and LDS Seminary, where he was active in football and rodeo. He currently participates as a steer wrestler in RMRA and PRCA rodeos. He is employed at Tooele Army Depot. The couple will make their first home in Lehi. The couple exchanged vows in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on Oct. 2. A reception honored the newlyweds that date in Ogden and on Oct. 3 at the Madsen residence in Lindon. Lori Booth and Bodi Madsen attended the bride. Best man duties were performed by Rick Madsen, with Tom Felt, Shawn Madsen and Brett Madsen serving as ushers. The bride is a graduate of Bon-neville High School. She served an LDS Mission to the Virginia Roanoke Mission. She is employed by Smith's Food King. The groom is a graduate of Pleasant Grove High School. He is employed by Darold's Meats and Prestwich Farms. He is attending Utah Technical College. He served in the Virginia Roanoke Mission. The couple will make their first home in Pleasant Grove. Mr. and Mrs. Guy Madsen (Wendy Booth) Public invited to Garden Club open house, lecture on birds and wildlife The Pleasant Grove Garden Club will hold an open house Wednesday, Oct. 16, at 1 p.m. at the Recreation Building. Refreshments will be served from 1 to 2 p.m. and Loyal Clark from the Uinta National Forest will give a lecture on birds and wild life from 3 p.m. Both meetings are open to the public. The purpose-o- this meeting is to give people a chance to see what the Garden Club does and encourage interested persons to join if they wish. Yearbooks will be displayed with pictures and write-up- s of the many activities and events sponsored bv the club. Also, some of the many award, earned by the club and the cluh members will be exhibited. Jane Walker Elsmore to be honored at eightieth birthday open house Jane Walker Elsmore will be honored on her 80th birthday with an open house from 4 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19, at the Orem 53rd Ward, 100 N. Main. All friends and relatives are in-vited. No invitations will be sent. Jane was born Oct. 17, 1905 in Spring City, Utah, to Martin and Mary Zabriskie Walker. She was the seventh of nine children. The family moved to the Provo Bench area in April 1912. She received her schooling in Lindon and Pleasant Grove. She married Donald George Elsmore Oct. 17, 1932 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They had one daughter, Ruby Jane Elsmore Hindley, who presently lives in Fort Collins, Colo. Mr. Elsmore passed away March 1970. Jane has been active in the LDS Church all of her life, serving a mission in Washington from 1927 to 1929. She worked many years in the various organizations, as well as serving nine years in the Provo Temple. She has six grandchildren and 10 Your help is requested to compile a book of anecdotes and memories. Warm memories shared with you, her friends and family, would be treasured. Jane Walker Elsmore Senior Citizen News Rose Parade tour, flu shots, classes planned You can go to the Rose Parade in Pasadena, Calif., for less than $400, according to Lowell Duvall, president of the Senior Citizens of Pleasant Grove. The tour price includes tran-sportation by air coditioned motor coach with restrooms, six nights at firsts rate hotels, day pass to Disneyland, prime rib dinner and show at a supper club, trips to Marineland and Knotts Berry Farm with Mrs. Knott's fabulous chicken dinner, visit Mexico to shop, and finally the Rose Parade with choice reserve seats near the beginning of the parade route on Colorado Ave. There will be two fabulous nights in Las Vegas and much, much more. Duvall at 785-242- Senior citizens will received their flu shots on Oct. 15 at the center beginning at 10 a.m. Last week 35 seniors enjoyed the Autumn Leaves Tour of Provo Canyon which included stops at Midway and The Homestead. They had lunch in Heber City. ; All senior citizens are invited to attend the center on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. If lunch is desired call one day ahead. Art classes start ' this week.
