Show Review - Wednesday, November 13, 1985 - Page 6 DUP plan old fashioned bazaar The Daughters of Utah Pioneer Camps of Pleasant Grove invite everyone in Pleasant Grove to join them in an old fashioned Christmas bazaar Saturday, Nov. 23, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Old Bell School House. They invite all citizens to participate by donating items for sale at the bazaar, and to par-ticipate by coming to the bazaar and buying what is for sale. Handmade items, quilts, and baked goodies are being prepared by the DUP members and will also be accepted from others who wish to help. There will also be hot dogs, drinks, etc. for sale. Donations may be given to Coleen Gardner, chairman of the bazaar; or to any of the DUP captains. Henry has been named as the new second counselor in the Pleasant Grove 9th Ward Bishopric. Mr. Henry came here from Scottsbluff, Neb. to attend BYU on a wrestling scholarship. He began teaching and coaching at Pleasant Grove High School 18 years ago. He and his wife, Belva, have three sons, Chad, Darrin and Tony. He has served as a Sunday School teacher, in the Elders Quorum presidency and Seventy's President since being baptized in 1972. He will be serving with Bishop Glade Walker and first counselor Jay Harmer. Fugal Mark Harvey Returning missionaries to speak Jean and Maxine Fugal Elder and Sister Jean A. Fugal will return Friday evening from serving a successful mission in the Southern States. They will be honored at a homecoming service Sunday, November 17, at 3:40 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove 11th Ward Chapel. Elder and Sister Fugal were called to serve in the Tallahassee, Florida Mission where they served for six months. They were then transferred to the Atlanta, Georgia Mission to serve in the Atlanta Temple for the last six months of their mission. They have enjoyed all aspects of their missionary ex periences very much. All friends and relatives are cordially invited to come and hear their report. Mark Harvey Elder Mark Harvey, son of Mr. and Mrs. David C. Harvey, Pleasant Grove, has recently returned from serving in the Michigan Dearborn LDS Mission. He will speak in a sacrament service Sunday, Nov. 17, at 11:30 a.m. in the Manila 1st Ward Chapel, 3986 W. 8800 North, Pleasant Grove. The meeting will be held in the Job Service Building, 1550 N. 200 West, Provo, beginning at 7:30 p.m. A spotlight will be on Linda Muhelstein who won second place in the state writing competition for her full length novel. Other members of the local chapter who won state recognition in the Utah League Roundup in October were Wanda S. Petersen, Ora Pate Stewart, Nancy Arm-strong, Muriel Heal and Layna Russell, the latter in the youth poetry contest. |
