Violations of the provisions of this ordinance or-dinance shall constitute a Class C misdemeanor, and shall be punishable upon conviction by a fine not to exceed $299.00 andor imprisonment im-prisonment in the County Jail for a term not to exceed six (6) months. PARKING OF OVERSIZED OVER-SIZED VEHICLES UPON CITY STREETS OR ADJACENT THERETO; PROHIBITING PROHIB-ITING THE PARKING OF ANY MOTOR ' VEHICLES ON THE STREET DURING PERIODS OF SNOW REMOVAL; PROVIDING PROVID-ING EXCEPTIONS; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE; PROVIDING PENALTIES PENAL-TIES FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF; THERE-OF; THIS ORDINANCE OR-DINANCE AMENDS ORDINANCE NO. 1979- ' 19 AND IS AN ADDITION AD-DITION TO NOT A REPLACEMENT FOR THE PROVISIONS OF THAT ORDINANCE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF HIGHLAND CITY, UTAH AS FOLLOWS: SECTION ONE: PARKING OF OVERSIZED OVER-SIZED VEHICLES UPON CITY STREETS PROHIBITED. It shall be unlawful fnr onv nprson to leave, park or station upon any street in Highland City any vehicle which : 1. has more than four (4) wheels; or 2. has a total length, including any trailer, mobile home or any other object attached thereto, exceeding nineteen (19'); or 3. is what is commonly com-monly referred to as a "semi-tractor;" or . 4. is a vehicle, camper, travel trailer or other unit which carries or encloses housekeeping facilities; or 5. is what is commonly com-monly referred to as construction equipment including back hoes, transport trailers, excavation equipment, etc. SECTION TWO: EXCEPTIONS. The temporary parking of moving vans and delivery trucks for a reasonable time to accomodate loading or unloading of the same; or expressly allowed to do so for a specified period by written permission of the Mayor or Chief of Police is hereby excepted ex-cepted from the prohibition contained in section one, above. SECTION THREE: PARKING OF MOTOR VEHICLES ON CITY STREETS DURING SNOW REMOVAL. It shall be unlawful to park any motor vehicles upon city streets from December 1 to March 31 so as to provide access to snow plows for snow removal. For purposes |
