Show 'Seven Ages of Women presented The public is invited to hear Elouise Bell speak at the Orem City Center Friday, Oct. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Ms. Bell, a professor of English at BYU and author of the Network column, "Only When I Laugh," will present with poetry and humor "The Seven Ages of Women." Shakespeare described the characteristics of the "seven ages of man" - baby, schoolboy, lover, soldier, justice, middle age, and second childhood. Using selections from the poetry of contemporary writers, Ms. Bell illustrates corresponding stages in women's lives. The lecture is hosted by Utah Valley subscribers to Exponent II, an LIDS women's magazine, and funded by a grant from the Utah Endowment for the Humanities. There is no charge. |
