Sprinkling a . little of your favorite fragrance on your outfit may be tempting, but don't do it. The International t Fabricare Institute, world-wid- e trade organization for people concerned with fabrics and their care, warns that perfumes and colognes can cause permanent damage to your favorite garments. The alcohol content in many fragrances will affect some fabrics and dyes especially acetates and silks. Color loss, permanent stains or water rings could result from a fragrance that's been splashed on a garment. Men should also be careful not to splash after-shav- e or cologne on clothing. After-shave- s, like per-fumes and colognes, also contain the alcohol that can damage your garments. Be sure to read the directions before putting sachets, potpourri or fragrant crystals in your dresser drawers. Some may cause damage if they're in direct contact with your clothing. l - a. --I KAY HUTCHINGS We care about your clothing! ... . m iMimiiiwftn wmrtnntliniiil iliurM hi nan i n miifmri innJiMitMWiilMMif |
