Show Mykell Kelly obituaries ) Joseph F. Jensen Mykell Kelly, four-month-old daughter of Kirk and Wendy Danklef Kelly, died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 1984 at the Delta Hospital. She was born April 11, 1984 in American Fork. Her parents are members of the LDS Church. Survivors include her parents, Delta; grandparents, grand-parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Danklef, Mr. and Mrs. Robert H. Kelly, Pleasant Grove; Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Strong, American Fork; Mr. and Mrs. Howard Kelly, Blackfoot, Idaho; Stella Louis Hawkins, Mesa Ariz.; great great grandmother, Sarah West, Pleasant Grove. Graveside services were held Friday, Aug. 17, in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. Theodore Christiansen Joseph Franklin Jensen, 55, of Pleasant Grove died of cancer at his home Friday, August 17, 1984. He was born Jan. 19, 1929 in Moroni, a son of Franklin Peter and Faith Faux Jensen. He married Marie Warby Feb. 8, 1947 in Provo. They were later divorced. He married Phyllis Rountree Nov. 3, 1961 in Provo. He received his education in the Moroni schools. He was a member of the LDS Church. He was an employee of Geneva Steel and worked in the open hearth division for 36 years, retiring in 1983. He then worked for Westcon and Lay Construction. Survivors include his widow of Pleasant Grove; five daughters and three sons: Mrs. Earl (JoHanna) Baker, Carol McKinna and Jacky Long, all of Vancouver, Wash.; Stacey Jensen, Cicely Jensen, Bryce Jensen and Corey Jensen, all of Pleasant Grove, and Dale Jensen of Orem; five grandchildren; his mother, Orem; two brothers and three sisters: Elliott Jensen, Mrs. Roland (Beverly) Strong and Mrs. Rod (Zulla) Jensen, all of Orem; Paul Jensen, Provo; and Mrs. James (Bonnie) Houghton, Helena, Mont. He was preceded in death by his father and by a son, Danny. Services were held Monday, Aug. 20, in the Orem 90th Ward Chapel. Burial was in the Provo City Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Bishop Max Ranquist of the Orem 90th Ward. Pallbearers were Paul E. Jensen, Elliot Jensen, Bryce K. Jensen, Dale E. Jensen, Jim Houghton, Rod Jensen, Cory M. Jensen and Jim Kelley. The family prayer was given by Paul E. Jensen. The prelude and postlude were played by Jenny Jensen. Jen-sen. The invocation was by Jim Houghton. The tribute was by Roland Strong. "Somewhere My Love" was performed by Julie Strong, Jan Strong, Terrilyn Strong, Robin Strong, Tami Strong, Kelly Houghton, Jeannie Jensen, Cicely Jensen, Linda Jensen, and Janette Jensen accompanied by Jenny Jensen. The speaker was Bishop Ranquist. Linda Zimmerman played an organ medley and the benediction was by Scott Strong. The dedication of the grave was by Dale E. Jensen. Theodore Val Christiansen, 81, of Pleasant Grove, died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 1984, at the American Fork Hospital. He was born July 13, 1903, in Fountain Green to Christian Theodore and Edna Estella Cook Christiansen. He married Luella Nar-cissa Nar-cissa Messinger Dec. 27, 1934 in Spokane, Wash. He was a member of the LDS Church, Pleasant Grove 5th Ward. He graduated from Moroni High School and BYU. He was an asphalt contractor con-tractor for 27 years. He founded the T. Val Christiansen and Brothers Construction Company. Survivors include his wife of Pleasant Grove; a son and three daughters: Val T. Christiansen, American Fork; Mrs. Ronald (Patricia) Smith, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Jack (Karen) Boren, Union City, Calif.; Mrs. Linda Tingey, Pleasant Grove; 24 grandchildren; grand-children; 13 great grandchildren; and a brother, Garth Christiansen, Pleasant Grove. Services were Thursday, Aug. 16, in the Olpin Family Mortuary, Pleasant Grove. Burial was in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Bishop Frank Mills of the Pleasant Grove 5th Ward. Pallbearers were Garth M. Christiansen, Peter Christiansen, Jack D. Boren, Dick C. Boren, Brian Smith, Brad Smith, David Probert and Richard Wheatfill. Honorary pallbearers were Michael Val Hansen, Jeffery E. Hansen, Nathan V. Tingey, Scott M. Tingey, Ryan K. Tingey, Tyler W. Tingey and Jeremy Boren. The, family prayer was given by Val T. Christiansen. The prelude and postlude were played by Ballard Christiansen. The invocation in-vocation was by Thomas Larsen. A musical selection was given by the Wheatfill family and the grandchildren and great grandchildren sang "I Am A Child of God." They were accompanied ac-companied by Helen Mortensen. The life sketch was given by Ron Smith and a tribute was given by Linda C. Tingey. Ballard Christiansen played an organ solo, "Somewhere My Love." The speaker was Harold Bullock. Nichole Griffiths sang ' "Chariots of Fire," with lyrics by Karen Christiansen Boren and accompanied by Barbara Roberts. Bishop Mills gave remarks and the benediction was by Jack D. Boren. The dedication of the grave was by Garth Christiansen. Billings Patten, Douglas Patten, Mrs. VerDon (LaWana) Ballantyne, all of Orem; Mrs. James (Deon) Carroll, Lafayette, Calif.; Emery Patten, Saudi Arabia r and Brent Patten, Pittsburg, Calif. Funeral services-were services-were Monday, August 20. Burial was in the Orem City Cemetery. Thomas J. Patten, 53, Orem, died Thursday, Aug. 16, 1984 at the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo. He was born Dec. 18, 1930 in Provo to Eztra T. and Pauline Marie Phillips Patten. He married Helen Maycock Dec. 3, 1953 in the Manti LDS Temple. He attended Orem schools, graduating from Lincoln High School in 1949. In 1957 he graduated from BYU with a degree in Ger; man and French. While at BYU, he worked for the administration in data processing, continuing con-tinuing after graduation in that capacity until 1966. He served with the U.S. Army in New Jersey and Germany. He taught German and French at BYU High three years, and then taught 12 years at Orem High School. After building and starting the Schonwald Terrace, a wedding reception center and German-American restaurant res-taurant in Orem, he returned to teaching languages at Pleasant Grove High School. He was active in the LDS Church, serving as high priest group leader for the Orem LDS Fourth Ward. He served a mission in Denmark from 1950-53. He was an Elder's Quorum president," Young Men's MIA president and ward chorister. Survivors include his wife of Orem; eight children: Mrs. Douglas Matthews, Virgin; I George Matthews, Hurricane; Mrs. Pauline Brown, , Sacramento, Calif.; Mrs. Odessa Siberson, Salt Lake City; and Mrs. Ruby J. Huntsman, Hunt-sman, Pleasant Grove. Services were Tuesday in the Anderson An-derson & Sons Mortuary Chapel, American Fork. Burial was in the Lehi X City Cemetery. Lionel L. Matthews, 68, died Friday, Aug. 18, 1984, in American Fork. He was born Oct. 19, 1915 in Lehi to Daniel Ely and Lydia Hetty Henson Matthews. He married Helen Pace. She died Jan. 16, 1984.
