Show Citizen, Review, Press, Mon Neil L. Oldham III . W 5 i Neil Levor Oldham, 59, died Wednesday, Nov. 16, 1983, at the home of his brother in Lehi. He was born May 22, 1924, in Mt. Pleasant to Levor Ernest and Effie Leora Draper Oldham. He was a veteran of World War II, a farmer, and a retired civil service worker. He was a member of the LDS ' Church. He is survived by his mother, Salt Lake City; sisters, Albert Oldham, serving an LDS mission at the Oakland, Calif, visitors center; Ned Oldham, Lehi; Mrs. LaVern (Fern) Coates and Mrs. Thomas (Iva) Critchley, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Blaine (Jean) Olsen, West Jordan. Services were held Saturday in the Wing Mortuary Chapel. Burial was in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. NEIL OLDHAM two brothers and three Billy D. Bishop : Billie Don Bishop, 59, ; of American Fork, died ; Monday, Nov. 14, 1983, ; at American Fork Hospital. He was born May 3, ' 1924, in Sunnyside to ' Don P. and Esther Jensen Bishop. He was married and later divorced. He then married Arlene Johnson, July 20, 1957, in Elko, Nev. He was a veteran of World War II and received the bronze star and two purple hearts. He was a member of the Eagles Aries 67 in Salt Lake City. He was a coalminer and a heavy-du- t mechanic. Survivors include his wife of American Fork; two sons and eight daughters: Mrs. Tom (Linda) Richards and Mrs. Dwayne (Karen) Prettyman, both of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Ken-neth (Gwen) Calahan of Helper; Mrs. Lyle (Carol) Jones of Price; Mrs. Shauna Staff, Mrs. Bruce (Brenda) Wanlass, and Michael Bishop, all of American Fork; Billy Don Bishop, Jr. of Lindon; Mrs. Steve (Ranae) LaBrun of Orem; Mrs. Lorie Evans of Pleasant Grove; 10 grandc-hildren; two brothers and three sisters: Ray Bishop of American Fork; Melvin Dean Bishop of California ; Mrs. Ray (Selma) Wilding of Orem; Mrs. Norma Harper of Pleasant Grove; Mrs. Jay G. (Elaine) Bird of Provo. Services were Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Anderson and Sons Mortuary Chapel, 49 E. 100 N. American Fork. Graveside military services were con-ducted by VFW District 4 in the American Fork Cemetery. DEALER Holiday closes temple The Provo LDS Temple will be closed during the Thanksgiving holidays, according to Temple President Leland F. Priday. President Priday said the temple will close at noon on Wednesday, Nov. 23, and remain closed on Thursday, Thanksgiving Day. He added, however, that the temple will resume its normal schedule on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 25 and 26. Looking for Top Mom' Nominations are now being ac-cepted for contestants in Utah's 1984 Mother of the Year and Young Mother Representative. To be eligible for the Mother of the Year title, a nominee must have . no children younger than 15 years, must belong to a religious body, must have been active in com-munity or government affairs, must exemplify precepts of the Golden Rule and must have been an in fluence for good on her children. The Young Mother repesentative should have been a member of a Young Mother of the Year Study Group for at least a year, have no child over 15, be a member of a religious body and be willing to write an essay or a brief autobiography.
