Grove, Lindon missionaries to speak at Sunday services Michael Wiemer Elder Michael R. Wiemer will be - returning from the Puerto Rico, San Juan Mission Nov. 24. His homecoming will be the following Sunday, Nov. 27, at 11:30 a.m. in the 6th, 10th, 19th Ward : Chapel at 475 N. 700 East. All friends and relatives are in- - vited to attend and hear his report. Michael is the son of Frederick and Geraldine M. Wiemer. Jared Fugal Elder Jared Fugal, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Fugal, Lindon will return Nov. 23 from serving in the ; Chile, Santiago North IDS Mission. A homecoming service will be held for him on Sunday, Nov. 27 at 12:30 p.m. in the Lindon 1st Ward Chapel, 25 N. Main, Lindon. All friends and relatives are invited to attend. Elder Fugal has served as Financial Secretary through the pressing period of the recent Temple Dedication in Santiago. He reports over 600 baptisms per month have been occurring there. Throughout the preparation period and for the dedication of the Santiago IDS Temple, Jared's residence was very close to the temple complex, as he served in the mission office. He has participated in the ex-citing, even miraculous, growth of the church in that part of the world. Bert Steele Elder Bert Steele, son of Bob and Marilyn Steele, has been called to the Mexico Hermosillo LDS Mission. A missionary farewell in his honor will be held Sunday, Nov. 27, at 12:30 p.m. in the Lindon Third Ward. He enters the MTC on Dec. 1 . Elder Steele has held many positions of leadership in the Church. He served as studentbody president at Pleasant Grove High School, was VICA president, and a member of the A Cappella Choir. He was very active in scouting earning his Eagle Badge and up to the Gold Palm. He attended the national Jamboree held in Pennsylvania. All of his friends and relatives are invited to his farewell. Mark Harvey Elder Mark Harvey, son of David and Dixie Harvey, has been called to serve in the Dearborn, Michigan LDS Mission. Elder Harvey would like all friends and relatives to join him in his missionary farewell, Sunday, Nov. 27, in the Pleasant Grove Manila First Ward Chapel at 4000 W. 8800 North at 9 a.m. Elder Harvey will enter the Missionary Training Center Dec. 1. Keldon Brown Elder Keldon Brown, son of Valoy E. and Elaine Brown, has accepted a call to serve in the England Leeds Mission. He will speak at a sacrament meeting on Sunday, Nov. 27, at 10:45 a.m. at the Pleasant Grove 16th Ward, 200 N. 400 East. An open house will be held the same afternoon at the family home, 40 N. 600 East, Pleasant Grove. Keldon graduated from Pleasant Grove High School. He has been employed at the American Fork Hospital. Traditional holiday at state pioneer park Old Deseret Village is currently closed for the winter but will be reopened for these special Christmas season activities. The remainder of the park, which includes This is the Place Monument, will be open during the winter season from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. ivsv ?v 5Vx i Exciting things will happen in Old Deseret Village at Pioneer Trail State Park during this Christmas season. Twelve traditional days of Christmas will be celebrated at the park from December 19 to 31. Special activities and demonstrations will delight children of all ages during this joyous season. Park visitors will be conducted on tours of the Brigham Young Forest Farmhouse and other village attractions which will be trimmed with Christmas ornaments. A Children's Christmas Workshop will also be held for youngsters 8 to 12 years of age. Children may participate by making pioneer candy, gifts, and Christmas decorations. Workshops will be held on December 10 and 17 from 8:45 a.m. to 12 noon each day. Registration for workshop classes begins November 1 and closes December 5. A material fee of $5 will be charged. The Children's Christmas Workshop is sponsored by Pioneer Trail State Park and the Pioneer Trail State Park Docent Council.
