Show Traditional holiday at state pioneer park Old Deseret Village is currently closed for the winter but will be reopened for these special Christmas season activities. The remainder of the park, which includes This is the Place . Monument, will be open during the winter season from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. ! ivsv ?v 5Vx i Exciting things will happen in Old Deseret Village at Pioneer Trail State Park during this Christmas season. Twelve traditional days of Christmas will be celebrated at the park from December 19 to 31. Special activities and demonstrations will delight children of all ages during this joyous season. Park visitors will be conducted on tours of the Brigham Young Forest Farmhouse and other village attractions which will be trimmed with Christmas ornaments. A Children's Christmas Workshop will also be held for youngsters 8 to 12 years of age. Children may participate by making pioneer candy, gifts, and Christmas decorations. Workshops will be held on December 10 and 17 from 8:45 a.m. to 12 noon each day. Registration for workshop classes begins November 1 and closes December 5. A material fee of $5 will be charged. The Children's Christmas Workshop is sponsored by Pioneer Trail State Park and the Pioneer Trail State Park Docent Council.
