Basketball DouUeheader Set at American Fork The best high school seniors will be on display tonight in basketball games to benefit the Boys Club of Utah County. American Fork High School is the site of the doubleheader, which has the girls all stars playing at 6:30 p.m. and the boys squaring off at 8 p.m. This will be the third annual county all star clash featuring 40 of the areas top athletes. Playing for the Nor-th boys will be Jeff Edwards and Dave Bennior of Orem; Dave Ratliff, Mark Atwood and Garth Hansen of Pleasant Grove; Steve Larsen, Gary E. Beck and Gary D. Beck of American Fork; and Wade Manning and Chris Geyerman of Lehi. Representing the South schools will be Steve Sanders, Dave Collins, Eugene Paulsen and Trevan MacArthur from Provo; Mark Harding from Springville; Eric Magleby, Dave Neuen-- s wander and Eric Keith from Timpview; Ross Christensen from Spanish Fork; and Jeff Mattinson of Payson. Girls from the North are Kim Beatty, Randy Robertson and Kim Despain from Orem; Deone Walker, Rosemary Jacklin and Kristy Walker from Pleasant Grove; Lisa Allen and Geri Turner frm American Fork; and Lori Adams and Darlene Gurney from Lehi. On the South squad will be Lisa Riley and Connie Madson from Payson; Cheryl Dudley from Spanish Fork; Holly Baxter from Springville; Kristy Olsen, Ruth Washburn and Kelly Pinegar from Provo; and Susie Chase and Barbara Belnap from Timpview. Vikings Drop 2nd Soccer Match to American Fork P.G. dropped its second straight soccer match by one point last week in falling to A.F. 4-- While Coach Fred Levin, the team is showing steady progress. The team travels to Bonneville Friday. Youth Soccer League Kids 8 begin prac-tice Saturday for the newly formed Youth Soccer League. Come out and see high school and Youth soccer matches. Jr. Varsity Baseball Team Walks Over Spanish Fork by David Hardy The junior varsity Baseball team had it's first game Monday and they walked all over Spanish Fork, 11-- Pleasant Grove grabed the lead in a hurry as the Vikes scored 6 runs in the first inning. Kim Walker led the hitting attack by going three for three, with two singles and a double. The pitchers had a fine day also. Matti Julkunen started with Craig Swapp and Kevin Allridge finishing up. Um- - piring city and church Softball this summer. A clinic for prospec-tive "men or women in blue" will be held Wed-nesday April 11 from 0 p.m. at the City Recreation Building. City league can-didates must suc-cessfully pass a 15 minute tape recorded harassment featuring this writer "Whitey" Ratliff, Erv Pack, John Beck, Gene Carter and Mike Shoell. Prospective church league candidates will be subjected to the same recording. However, this will be done after prayer. Registration fees are $15.00 for ASA, $8.00 for youth softball and $3.00 for church ball. Where else can you have that much fun for so little money? On the 2nd day of January 1979 the owners of real property as shown by the last assessment rolls, situated in the tract herein described, requested that said tract of land be taken within the limits of Pleasant Grove City. 2. Petitioner caused an ac curate plot or map be be made and certified to by a competent surveyor to be filed with the City Recor-der together with said petition. 3. Said tract of land is contigious to Pleasant Grove City and there is no proper reason why it should not be annexed to and made a part of said city. 4. Ad-ditionally, the City Recor-der is hereby directed to file with the State Tax Commission within 10 days of the passage of this ordinance notice of the annexation accomplished by this ordinance. Such notice shall contain a cer-tification by the secretary that all necessary legal requirements relating to such annexation have been completed. In the opinion of the City Council it is necessary for the immediate preser-vation of the peace, health and safety of Pleasant Grove City that this or-dinance take effect upon its first publication. The Manila Second Ward team beat PI. Grove East Stake's Ninth Ward on Wed-nesday night, a Highland Stake team Thursday and then beat the Timpanogos Stake 6th Ward on Friday night. Coaching the team are Cynthis Sherod Massey and Delma Olsen.
