Show A Cappella Choir and Coggers West Will Go On Tour April 1 0 thru April 1 7 The fourth annual Pleasant Grove High School A Cappella Choir tour will be held April 10 through 17 with doggers West, the high school clogging team, joining the choir for the tour. Terry Tucker, choir director and clog instructor, said the group will give concerts in Delta, Overton, Nevada, the Carnation Plaza Gardens at Disneyland, Calico Coral and Charleston Square at Knott's Berry Farm, and a special sacred per formance at the Los Angeles Temple on Easter Sunday. The choir will also give a tri-ward fireside in the Los Angeles area, and both groups will give a performance at a local high school in that area. 86 students, teachers and chaperones will make the trip. The choir has been on both coasts of the United States in the last two years. In addition they have been invited to give a series of per- formances to school children in Mexico City, to appear on national television in Mexico, and perform at the Palace of Fine Arts in Mexico. The Mexican government has asked the United States to send sbc choirs to Mexico to upgrade music in the schools Mr. Tucker recently spent a week in Mexico to discuss the project and meet with government officials there, nt their request. They have asked for the choir in the Spring of 1980. |
