Show American Family Week Terminates Saturday April 7 American Family Week will terminate Saturday with the biggest garage sale and flea market ever held in Utah County. The sale begins Saturday at 9 a.m. in the county warehouse at 1 100 West 100 South, Provo, and will continue through 7:30 p.m. said Mrs. Edna (Byron) Done, sales committee chairman. The sale is being sponsored to raise funds for the American Family Monument to be erected in the fall on the County Courthouse grounds. Dr. Avard Fairbanks, monument sculptor, said the work of art has been designed to commemorate the significance of the family in American History. During the Saturday event various families in Utah County, with muscial talent, will be performing at the sale. At 7 p.m. special ceremonies will honor i Utah County families. At 7; 30 p.m. individuals who have contributed to the monument fund will be given special citations, said Dr. Virginia Cutler, monument committee chairman. An auction will be held at 4 p.m., she added. |
