Show Immunization for Childhood Disease Set for PI. Grove Tuesday, July 11, a satellite immunization im-munization clinic will be held in Pleasant Grove at the City Recreation office, 41 East 200 South. The clinic is sponsored by the City-County City-County Health Department of Utah County, and will be held from 2 to 4:15 p.m. Parents are encouraged to protect their children against unnecessary childhood disease. This immunization clinic is held in connection with the immunization survey which was held earlier this spring in all of the schools in Pleasant Grove and the Lindon Elementary School. Many parents have been contacted con-tacted by letter or phone as to which immunizations their children still lack to be adequately immunized. Parents bringing their children to the clinic should bring with them the letter, if they received one in the mail, so that it may be properly recorded on the child's school record. Any parent uncertain about what their children need, should bring them to the clinic along with any record of what shots they have already had. There will be nurses there to help them. The following is the recommended schedule for immunizations: 2 months DTP (diptheria, pertussis, per-tussis, tetanus), and polio. 4 months DTP, and polio. 6 months DTP, and polio. 15 months MMR (measles, mumps and rubella. 18 months DTP, and polio (boosters) 4-6 years DTP and polio (pre-kindergarden (pre-kindergarden boosters) Every 10 years a TD booster is recommended. For older children who have not been able to follow this schedule, alternate scheduling for immunizations im-munizations is available at the clinic. A minimal cost approved by the Board of Health is charged for shots: Polio $1.00; DTP $1.00; and MMR $6.50. No checks will be accepted. Daily clinics are held at the City-County City-County Health Department, 107 East 100 South, Provo, from 2 to 4:15 p.m. where these and other immunizations for travel can also be obtained. |
