Show Friends Club Sponsors Dance on July 29 will featured as well as a KEYY disc jockey as master of ceremonies. Don Fen ton, District President of Friends said, "We are really working hard for the successof this dance. We are anticipating a large crowd and hope to use the money to keep the program running as strong as it has in the past." Friends District officers who coordinate activities and do supplemental training are: President, Don Fenton; Secretary, Laura Topaum; Activities Shannon Ward; Public Relations Director, Tonia Rushan; and Treasurer, A. Jay Eves. Serving for the coming year as presidents and representatives to the District Council for the coming year are:from this area Linda Ivie, Pleasant Grove; Terry Kresge, Orem; Nicki Riehle, On July 29th, from 8:30 to 11:30, the Friends Program of Utah, with the help of KEYY, will be sponsoring a Pioneer Celebration dance with Windfield Rush. The dance will be held at the new Utah Technical College Rooftop Plaza, 800 West 1200 South in Orem. Admission will be $1.49, with the proceeds going to furthering the Friends Program objectives. Highlights of the evening will be a dance contest and door prizes donated by "Things Remembered, the Competition, Com-petition, Fashion Fabrics, Checkpoint, The Spice Rack and the The Company." Invitations to participate in the outdoor dance are issued to City residents and all county youth, since Friends extends throughout Utah, Wasatch and Salt Lake Counties, as well as in Rupert, Idaho.
