Show Kiwanis Club Has Richard Condie As Guest Speaker An inter-club Kiwanis meeting meet-ing and banquet including the members of the Pleasant Grove and Springville members and their wives and many guests was held at the Galerie (Manor) (Man-or) in American Fork on Oct. 23, 1971. Presiding was Harvey Rawl-inson, Rawl-inson, Pleasant Grove club president. Lyle Thacker presented pre-sented the flag and Arthur Watson Wat-son offered the prayer and blessing on the food. Homer Robertson, Pleasant Grove club secretary, presented present-ed door prizes to Mrs. Howard Maycock and Mrs. Harold Jacklin. Merrill Warnick, program pro-gram chairman, introduced William E. Petersen, past Lt. District Governor, who sang two numbers. President Rawlinson inducted his son Don, the newest member mem-ber of the Pleasant Grove Club. Mr. Warnick introduced special guests, Mr. and Mrs. Richard P. Condie. Mr. Condie told of many experiences ex-periences he has had as director direc-tor of the Tabernacle Choir. He has been with the choir for the past 35 years and directed the choir for the past 15 years. One of their choice experiences was singing to President Johnson. The choir is now broadcasting broadcast-ing on over 500 stations. They have traveled over much of the world and they are now fully supporting. Mr. Condie read two letters of the many they have receiv ed from world leaders. One of the unique experiences he has is choosing proper music for the choir. The Club received closing instructions in-structions from President Rawlinson. Raw-linson. Their next meeting will be Saturday at 7 a.m. |
