Show Thursday Rites Held For Frances Peck Stephanie Philomene Frances Jambon Peck age 69 died May 24 in a Salt Lake City nursing home following a short illness BORN March 1 I 1901 in Los Angeles Calif to Etienne Etienne Etienne Eti- Eti enne Jambon and Loretta Elizabeth Walsh she married Thomas Nelson Peck in Santa Barbara Calif May 17 1926 Later when they had been converted to the Church their marriage was solemnized solemnized solemnized solem solem- in the Los Angeles Temple Tempe April 20 1957 He died May 13 1958 in Barstow Barstow Barstow Bar- Bar stow Calif RAISED to a life of music her mother was a founder co-founder and teacher of the Los Angeles Ange Ange- Angeles les es Conservatory of Music and Arts she practiced hours daily on the piano as a child Numbered among her many great teachers were several European artists She attended Polytechnic High School and UCLA Prepared Prepared Prepared Pre Pre- pared for the concert stage she decided instead to devote her life to teaching and from the early age of 16 touched the lives of untold numbers of students with her special me method od and depth of tion WITH HER husband she removed to Hinkley near Barstow California in 1928 Here she continued to teach traveling to many surrounding communities each week that all who sought musical instruction in instruction instruction in- in might be fulfilled Following the death of her husband she followed her son and his family to Utah in 1959 She lived and taught first in Provo and then in 1965 moved to Centerville where she remained until shortly before her death teaching teaching teaching teach teach- ing in the Bountiful area SHE IS survived by her son N.
