Show Texas tfaVel agents to tour Park City The Chamber Bureau marketing . staff is busy this week showing off ; Park City to a number of influential j people. Marty Melcher, director of marketing, will be with a group of 18 : travel agents from Texas, showing them first-hand what a great place Park City is to send their clients. Mark Menlove, director of communications, com-munications, will spend the weekend with seven international journalists who will be gathering information for future articles on Park City. " The tour is a cooperative effort between the Chamber Buread and the Utah Travel Council. In addition to the international journalists, the ChamberBureau hosted three writers from California and one from New York last week who will be doing articles on Park City in the : near future. Retailers' survey: During the week of Dec. 19, all Park City area retail establishments will be asked to complete a survey being conducted con-ducted as part of Economic Research Associates (ERA) economic study on the Park City Snyderville Basin area. i All local retailers are encouraged to participate in the study, which is , being undertaken to suggest ways the town can better bolster the retail segment of the economy. Them '-J Park City Area Update Chamber of ConnerceC'on vrnlion nd Visitors Bureau ChamberBureau will be distributing the survey in person to each retail establishment and will pick up completed surveys. The ERA study, funded by the ChamberBureau, the city and Sum- mit County, will include growth projections pro-jections for the area as well as examine ex-amine the feasibility of developing a community conference facility here. Suggested economic development scenarios also will be included, as well as the results of the survey of retailers and a random sampling of households in the area.
