Show Murder suspecfs father will not go to prison i Bryan Oliver. The younger Mitchell is being held without bond in the Summit County Jail on the first-degree murder charge, two drug trafficking counts and aggravated burglary. The father of a man charged in the Park City slaying of a Miami man during the 1984 Art Festival will hot go to prison on obstruction of justice ehargesr 3rd District Court judge ruled Tuesday. ' $ Patrick Mitchell, 45, Berryville, Ark., was placed on probation for one year and fined $1,000 by Judge J. Dennis Frederick. Mitchell pleaded guilty to the reduced charge of obstruction of justice Oct. 8. Previously, he was indicted by a Summit County grand jury on two counts of drug trafficking in cocaine. Mitchell pleaded not guilty to those charges at a May 23 arraignment. The grand jury indictments, handed hand-ed down May 5, charged Mitchell's son, Francis Preston Mitchell, 24, Miami, with capital murder in the shooting death of Fred Duncan Aug. 4 at the Woodside Avenue home of |
