Show Open-space zone proposed ! by RICK BROUGH Record staff writer A zone change is being proposed by Park City to preserve open space on a parcel at the northwest corner of Kearns Boulevard and Monitor Drive. , Residents are invited to comment I on the rezone at a public hearing I Wednesday, Nov. 27, before the Park 1 City Planning Commission. I The rezone would apply to a city- owned parcel of 4.81 acres on west 1 Monitor Drive, across the street from Park Meadows Plaza. The "'J area now is zoned as Residential!, Development and Estate, said city planner Dave Boesch. It is bounded on the north by ; Boothill Condominiums, on the west by the city cemetery and on the south by a .27-acre parcel owned by Michael Barnes, he said. The zone change in the parcel would implement a land swap with : Barnes, said Boesch. The private owner would receive .81 acre on the ! , city parcel, to be zoned General t, Commercial. The rest of the parcel would be zoned Residential Open Space. In return, the city would receive the games parcel, at the corner of. Monitor and Kearns. Its zone would be changed from General Commercial Commer-cial to Residential Open Space. Next week's hearing, however, applies ap-plies only to the zoning for the parcel now owned by the city. The public hearing is scheduled for Nov. 27 at ",7:30 p.m. at the Marsac Municipal Building. |
