The Hnor Roll by Robbie Smith The Honor Roll, a joy for some, and a sorrow for many. It is a reward or recognition for high achievement achieve-ment in academic work. More simply, it's for good grades. This term when report cards came out the Honor Roll had to be figured. The head of the math department, Mrs.' McClelland, chose two students, Robbie Smith and Chris Elkins, to compute the the four main subjects, English, math, science, and history and also used these averages: A 4.00, A- 3.67, B 3.33, B 3.00, B-2.67, C 2.33, C 2.00 C- 1.67, D 1.33, D 1.00, D-0.67, D-0.67, F 0.00 Using these numbers, they obtained an average by adding together the numbers representing the main grades. Then they just divided by four and there was the average. If you: average was above 3.50, you'd be on the Honor Roll. The people who had an average above 3.70 would be on a special high honor roll.
