Show Local Club Members Win Ribbons derson, vice-president; Nan McPolin, district historian; Emma Ruggles and Nada Russell. Athenaeum held its regular meeting at the Memorial Building on Monday, April 27, with a program by Dave Chaplin, art teacher at the Park City High School. He exhibited several paintings done by his students and explained not only the difference in types of jpaints used, but the method he uses to stimulate, motivate and instruct. Photographs are often used to project the initial subjects and he urges his students to use imagination imaginat-ion and initiative in their work with color and subject matter. Athenaeum will meet on May 1 1 with a program given by exchange students from the high school. The public is welcome to attend the 7:30 p.m. meeting in the lounge at the Memorial building. The Woman's Athenaeum came away with four Blue Ribbons from the Arts and Crafts exhibition held recently recent-ly at the Salt Lake District convention. Blue Ribbon winners were Violet Terry, crochet; Wil-ma Wil-ma Larremore, quilts; Emma Em-ma Ruggles, stuffed toys; and Hazel Gunderson, painting. paint-ing. Members of the Utah Federation Executive Committee Com-mittee joined district members mem-bers at the final meeting of the club year at the Ladies Literary Club Building in Salt Lake City. Mrs. H. A. Elton, district president, presided and introduced in-troduced her officers, Violet Terry, president of Athenaeum, Athen-aeum, and Eleanor Bennett, past district president.
