Show Toly Scores Four Goals In Tie Game schools at the meet, Union and Uinta. Next month. Park City High School will host the state power-lifting meet. The state championship will be held May 21 st. By Pat Van Wagoner Several Park City Youth Soccer teams braved rain, snow, and cold to play in Salt Lake City last Saturday. The under-16 competition team, with only 10 players, battled to a 5 to 5 tie with the always powerful Germania Eagles. Steve Toly led his team with four goals; Shawn Gleiden scored one goal. The under-14 competition team chalked up a 5 to 1 victory against their opponents oppon-ents at Eisenhower Junior High. Scott Williams scored twice in the first half, once after an indirect kick by Shawn Hazelrigg. Kenny Lawson scored early in the second half and again toward the end of the game on a good breakaway. Randy Dyer contributed a goal after a free kick attempt by Mike Jarosz. The under-12 competition team suffered a 3 to 0 shut-out in their game against a Skyline High area team. The under 10 competition competi-tion team won by default when their scheduled opponents oppon-ents failed to appear. The under-14 girls recreation recrea-tion team lost a close struggle 3 to 2 in their season's opener against the City East team which took first place last year. Casey Hazelrigg and Anital Miles each made one goal. |
