As Pirk Ci "y Reo x-S 0;?i .' f. i" Skiing, Eriksen will ' plan amd implement skiing activities at Park City and will make public appearances in behalf of the Resort. Phil Jones named "Instructor of the Year" at the North American Amer-ican Ski Instructors Congress, will be Director of the 75-in-structor Park City Resort Ski School. Park City Resort is being planned and expanded by Greater Great-er Park City Company, which purchased the Resort earlier this year. According to G.P.C.C. President J. Warren King, new facilities for 1971 include "three high capacity double chairlifts, nine new and several widened and lengthened runs, condominiums available for purchase or nightly rental, private homesites, a ticket and ski school buildingand two commercial com-mercial shops. The Resort's golf course is being expanded to 18 championship champion-ship holes playable next Spring and construction is scheduled to begin in September on a clubhouse club-house with tennis courts, swimming swim-ming pool, lounge and dining room." Stein Eriksen has been named Park City Resort's Director of Skiing it was announced last week by Resort General Manager Man-ager A. W. Woody Anderson. Stein Eriksen will move to Park City Resort in October from Colorado where he has served for the past four years as Aspen's Director of Skiing and as ski school director at Snowmass-at-Aspen. Prior to Aspen, he directed ski schools at Heavenly Valley, California, and Sugerbush, Vermont, ski areas. "Park City Resort is extremely ex-tremely pleased to announce that Stein Eriksen will serve as its Director of Skiing beginning be-ginning this season," said Anderson. An-derson. As an Olympic gold and silver medalist, World Championship gold medalist, author, ski equipment designer, and ski school director for over 100,000 skiers, Stein is incomparably in-comparably qualified to direct skiing activities at Park City Resort and to serve as a spokesman spokes-man for the Resort. He brings to Park City Resort a lifetime of ski industry experience and a style of skiing that is world famous and his alone."
