Winterton, right, lias been named the Honor Graduate from the Advanced Noncommissioned Officer Education System Course. The commendation was forwarded from the VS. Army Signal Center and School at Ft. Monmouth, N.J. and was presented by Lieutenant Colonel John W. Nolan, commander of the UJS.Army Strategic Communications Command, East Coast Telecommunications Telecommunica-tions Center at Ft. Detrick, Frederick, Md. Winterton is assigned assign-ed to the center as a Satellite Communications Shift Supervisor. Sgt. Winterton is the son of Mrs. Ann Winterton of Santa Cruz, Calif. He entered the Army in 1966 and completed basic military training at Ft. Ord, Calif. Sgt. Winterton is a graduate of Park City High School, Park City, Utah and was employed by the Ahland-ers Ahland-ers Hardware in Provo, Utah prior to entering the service. Among Sgt. Winterton's awards and decorations are two presentations pre-sentations of the Bronze Star Medal four awardings of the Army Commendation Medal, the Republic of Vietnam Service Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. Winterton and his wife, Else, formerly of West Germany, are living in Myersville Md. |
