Show we gel- letters Visitor Writes April 6, 1973 John E. Tucker Columbus Ski Club Dear Bea: Thank you again for your gracious hospitality during my recent ski trip to Park City. I consider talking with you and wandering through the shops in town the highlight of the trip. As a visitor who enjoys sightseeing sight-seeing and especially well-preserved authentic history, I was very disturbed to hear that Park City is considering modernization. moderniza-tion. I'm sure I speak for our 1 entire group of 160 Ohio skiers when I say that we would certainly cer-tainly prefer that the quaint mining town atmosphere be retained re-tained in the downtown area. The modernization and expansion ex-pansion to accommodate us luxury-loving skiers should be kept to the outlying areas, e.g. the Three Kings and adjacent condominiums. I would also hope that the mine-ride ski lift be restored. It seems to me that this would be such a unique experience as to command a price making it economically feasible. I was disappointed that the mine tour was shut down for repairs during dur-ing our visit, but hope it will be in service on our next visit. Give my regards to Lynn Turner and tell her the paintings I purchased arrived in fine condition. Hope all is well with you and your family. Yours very truly, John E. Tucker. |
