Show 'Inside the house." 'Is this a planned family?" "Who plans a family?" 'Haven't you heard of The Pill?" "I take one a day. An aspirin. I have kids, but no headaches." ATHENAEUM Club of Park City is running a series of "Great Women," and a few locals are being included. For My Lady Fair Louise and me, no list of great women would be complete, or even begun, without the name of Rhea Hurley, of Park City. There is one of the very greatest ladies we have ever known. If she would permit an interview, inter-view, Rhea Hurley's life story would make the very finest biography any one ever wrote. Wish it could be me. THEY SAY there was an unusual un-usual visitor at the grand opening open-ing of the beautiful new Walker Bank in Coalville Saturday. Howard Hughes walked in, looked around, refused to sign the ledger, and walked out. Well, all I know is what Merla Foust said. IF SOME ONE were to ask me what I think about the 18-year 18-year old vote, I would have to say that I don't know-it all depends upon the mental age of the person. We all know young men and young women of 18 who are more mature than many persons of 35 and when these latter were 18 they were too immature to vote. If we don't let the smart young'uns vote we are losing the benefit of strong young minds. And if the majority happened hap-pened to be emotionally immature im-mature they might vote us into trouble. We can't very well run a quick test at the polls. So what? So far in this session of the Utah State Legislature, it might seem that many of the members couldn't have passed the 18-year 18-year old test. THERE SEEMS to be a slight furore among fuddy-duddies about girls wearing pants. If the girls are correctly designed, de-signed, I think they're wonderful. wonder-ful. And what I cannot under-stand-what's the difference between pants and slacks? The slacks have been "in" for years, So what's so different? GOOD FRIENDS in Ogden have had three kiddies in the past three years, including a set of twins. She and her husband both work. I asked her how she manages. "I shovel a lot," she said. |
