Show A new Subdivision Ordinance has been enacted by Summit County Commissioners. Commission members voted unanimously to pass the ordinance or-dinance at their regular meeting last Wednesday. The newly enacted ordinance is published in this week's Park Record and Summit County Bee. A discussion was held with regards to the traditional closing clos-ing of County Offices during the noon hour. It was decided to try a new policy of keeping the offices of-fices open during the noon hour. Summit County Planner Grant Crton presented an ordinance up-dating the Building Code. Purpose of the updating is to insure in-sure conformance with existing standards. Reed Warner asked for a clarification on Justice of the Peace Precincts in the County. Summit was combined into one precinct in 1971 but there are now three elected Justices of the Peace. County Attorney Alan D. Fransden stated his opinion was the county should go back to the three precinct organization or-ganization until just prior to ;he next election and then make a determination on whether or not to go to a one precinct organization. Commissioners requested Mr. Warner to follow through on ordering an emergency siren for Summit Park. Mr. Warner, will also check on availability of a pickup truck with small pumper for Summit Park. Art Sine, A. Moore and Earne Anderson of Mountain Bell Telephone Co. briefed commissioners commis-sioners on a new telephone communications system for the Courthouse. The system would feature improved service, 2 talking pads and lights on all phones. No decision was readied on whether or not to install the service. A sewage treatment for the Snyderville area received attention. at-tention. Jim Kaiserman told commissioners commis-sioners construction of a trunk line from Park City was anticipated. antic-ipated. Cost of the entire project would be near a $3.5 million mark. Commission Chairman G. Melvin Flinders stated he would set up a public meeting in Snyderville to determine the feelings of local residents on the project. Five bids were received on weed control chemicals. Low bidder was Utah Cooperative Association Commissioners told Daniel Willard and Frank Cattelan, of Echo, that County owned property prop-erty would be sold at Public A'uction. Mr. Willard sought to buy county owned land in Park City and Mr. Cattelan asked about purchasing the old Weigh Station. Jerald Richins, Mauris Dear-den Dear-den and Otto Fawcett, President, Pres-ident, Vice-President and Secretary Sec-retary respectively, for the Wool Growers Association requested re-quested financial aid in Hunting Coyotes. The wool representatives requested re-quested a donation of $20 per rancher or $1,000. Commissioners are considering consid-ering the request. In a final move the Commission Commis-sion accepted by-laws for the County Planning Commission. |
